Bunny.net says it's still processing, but playable. So it should work? There's definitely a chance. I'm just tired of waiting, honestly, so here we go. Sorry for the delay. It's been a long day for me (still working on YouTube edits also).

Enjoy!

I have to play stigmata once daily just to hear the sample come in (obvious no diss to roc)

yeah, that name comes up a lot. He's on the list, but man... like you say/know, who knows what I'll get to it

Bob_the_Poppop

hmm... sounds interesting. This comments section is adding like, 5 albums to my list lol

Bob_the_Poppop

More mind melting!

Bob_the_Poppop

Yup, gotta be patient and take your time with this guy. Easy to miss the intricacies otherwise

Bob_the_Poppop

Liquid Swords is very high on the list πŸ‘

Bob_the_Poppop

These other two albums sound very interesting too, with the themes chosen

Bob_the_Poppop

goddamn, there's no chance I would've figured that out lol

Bob_the_Poppop

lol

Would love to hear your take on a Roc Marciano project, he dropped an album with the Alchemist earlier this year, The Elephant Man's Bones. He has multiple songs with Ka

Love seeing underground lyrical rap on the channel! Maybe I can get my billy woods reaction by December 2023

Alex VonBerg

If you ever REALLY wanna test your lyric-dissecting abilities, check out El-P’s Fantastic Damage. It’s punk poetry over experimental electronic production, made entirely by him, in his bedroom. One of the best underground albums to ever come out of NYC in my opinion.

VeganMilk

You gotta do Orpheus vs The Sirens by Hermit and the Recluse. Duo project by Ka and producer Animoss. Super conceptual and dense

Carter Fulkerson

Love the reaction Ka is amazing!!

sam

ive tried to listen to him very briefly in the past but never gave him a realchance. This reaction was so fun and really makes me want to go and listen to the rest of his stuff. I feel like this long form reaction content is the perfect thing to help people go through and digest his music

Isaac Robichau

Never expected to see ka here so I’m happy. We need that liquid swords next now

I've been so fucking excited for this album since I first heard you mention it. Ka is just such an incredible poet. He says so much with so little that it takes a while to really sink in. I understand people that think he's kind of boring cus he really doesn't have variety in flow or even tone, but really lets you just listen to what he's saying. Then you really start to notice how fantastic his rhyming is, and you'll probably notice in relistens that you can even not focus on the lyrics and it just becomes hypnotising. I originally found him from the Dead End Hip Hop review of this album and I think its really worth checking out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShbUdukbZbI If you dive back into Ka again, I suggest Orpheus vs the Sirens which is a colab with producer Animoss under the name Hermit and the Recluse, ala DOOM/Madlib. Where this used paralels to samurai, this he uses Greek mythology. A lot of his albums use some concept to paralel what he talks about: Knights Gambit uses chess, Descendants of Cain uses the story of Cain and Abel. Its just good shit.

Nathan Judy

Yes! Please do more Ka, he's one of the greatest lyricists. Fun fact, Ka's voice is so gruff because he's a New York City Fire Captain.

Jae

Regarding the line "comp your wiz'" Comp is short for compensate, which you got. Wiz is Five Percenter slang for a female partner. Five Percenter slang is really common in NYC hip hop, even among people who aren't members. "Wiz" is short for "wisdom," which in Five Percenters' system of Supreme Mathematics, represents various concepts, including the number 2 and the union of man & woman.

Dareka

I loved this album so much when it dropped, looking forward to this. Ka is a phenom.

The Gr8 Scott

It loads great, handsome, life changing, visionary, genre defining, magnum, trojan, big D energy

Anthony Dawsen

It loads for me πŸ‘
