Finally got around to this. I’ve always really liked Nicki. I think Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is a really fun album and would love to see a reaction to that. Keep up the great content!

An easy way to get into his discography is Tha Carter 3, but my personal favorite is Tha Carter 2, flawless allt he way through

The funny thing is this project with some of the sung vocals is taking me back to the mid '00s, Hikaru Utada vibes. And then some of these tracks feel like a modern K-pop cut. I don't really listen to those genres today but, nostalgia all around. And interesting to see how those influences swirl around. Ultimately tho, Niki's raps and flows and overall attitude is still iconic and unmistakable. Some real good bars and productions on this album overall.

Some of the hate is also because she is kind of a shitty person. Her husband and her brother are both sexual abusers. She does make really good music though. It's just another case of separating the art from the artist.

That'll make it real and evident. Gotta work through it somehow. And don't get too worried (imo). Being independent doesn't always equate to immediate disconnects from people. But you won't know for sure until you talk about it

But then she just got really poppy and commercial......she does it great and she's good at it but alot of people thought she was just going to be the female rapper who could finally just rap with all the guys and be as good and as listenable. In rap alot of the girl rappers don't get as big because the subject matter isn't as relatable. Nicki is one of the rare exceptions and there's a section of people that feel like she kind of cheated them out of amazing raps by going more pop

I disconnect very fast as well.......and i relate very hard.........I'll take it a step further I see my son be almost a carbon copy of me as a kid apart from having 2 real parents and I worry that he will grow into that same head space and it's soooo scary to think about even though he will never have to go through what I did.
