I'm going to disappoint all of you and be super lazy/hungover this morning... and not include timestamps.

Comments

to be clear, most "freestyles" such as the J cole one u watched are completely written beforehand and that isn't supposed to be a secret or anything. Freetyle just means unstructured rapping over some random beat basically. they often don't know what the beat will be tho. the tyler one was legit off the top of the head.

Milo Stroik

ive been wanting some tame impala so bad, did he react to any tame impala in this or was it just a random suggestion?

Eli

A few notes and takeaways from listening to this whole thing: Singles night is awesome. I had more fun with this than basically any pure album reaction, despite all the chaos, just due to the anticipation and the variety. That said the chaos and the chat being a spam sesh was a bit of a drag on the flow and mood at times. If my $.02 are worth even that, here's how I'd set up something like this going forward as a regular session: Create a few private YouTube playlists for bonafide singles and non-album projects and split them broad categories. All patrons (or maybe make a higher tier for the ability) who have the opportunity to add entries to these playlists. Then have a few "guides" who will go thru and cull any entries that are clearly not appropriate for that playlist. Then Bob and maybe a guest can pull up a given playlist and play it on random. The main thing is it clears the chat from being distracted by what is next. Everyone knows if they just join Patreon they can submit suggestions to the lists and have a chance of seeing it come up. Second is it clears up the whole "wait who was it? What was that called? Which of the 5 videos that come up is correct?" Etc. Honestly most people would be pretty chill with watching Bob's exposure to even mid or trash songs if we all know that the list is in charge and it's not some in-the-moment struggle to come up with a good single. Additionally, there are a TON of classic non-album singles worthy of listening to that almost no one is going to think of in the moment and even when one person randomly mentions it in chat, if they actually are respectful and don't spam jt there's almost no chance of Bob thinking "oh yeah, that one guy that mentioned Last Huzzah (Remix) a few minutes ago was on to something, lemme choose that" especially when the whole point is dear Pop Pop doesn't know these tracks, so there will be bias to recognizable names and whatever is recent that people are willing to spam. Additionally MANY epic singles featuring big artists with killer bars (that AREN'T also from the major albums that Bob is gonna listen to) end up being remixes, different versions, or from smaller artists that happen to have some major features. So trying to explain all of that nuance in a ridiculous chat environment and avoid confusion is basically impossible. So that is why I'd argue for entrusting a few people or the Patrons to curate some playlists. Id break them into broad categories like: Classics: 10+ years old Fresh: Less than 1 year old Legendary: more than 10million views Underrated: less than 500k views Experimental: novel sounds and wild production Posse Cuts: 5 or more featured artists Sample Serenity: when the sample is so hard it defines the song Trippy Videos: videos that go above and beyond There's so many potential great lists here. Point is each session could be dedicated to one list, or spent on 5-6 from each. I think it would be a good time and way better than relying on polls and such. Lastly I'd suggest occasionally doing a "rabbit hole" session where the playlist is set aside and instead follows the rabbithole of using the YT reccomendations to go from track to track vs search. Allow the chat to suggest one to choose as needed, but basically use it to just explore. In general I think this type of session is the one thing on Twitch I would tune into more than actual album reactions. But the chaos would have to be tamed and to do that means taking away Chat's ability to influence what is next so it (they) can focus simply on the music at hand.

I spent the first few hours just getting baited waiting to see if Bob would finally give in to Vlarity and listen to Zillakami's Bleach. I don't approve of giving in to relentless spam on one hand. But Zillakami (and Denzel!) Is worth an exception. I don't understand how Bob wouldn't process "Oh it's a Denzel track. Maybe it isn't trolling afterall." I mean beer, sure, but c'mon. Was getting bluuuuuue balllllls 😂😂 But let's be real, Bleach is such a different vibe. "Please Forgive" is a much better single with them, just sayin'.

Scott Watrous

couple of those chatters were borderline annoying, salute to bob for being so patient

emmanuel nunez

I’m so glad he liked Lucki lol. I’ve been wanting him to do a project for a while but wasn’t sure how it would go over

Remy DeSi

That was really great you gotta keep doing these Bob, also you need to check out “wash us in the blood” by Kanye west it’s a single and probs my favorite. That’s all thanks my man.

Marco Garcia

Yeah, but I was glad to hear some of them honestly. It gets me more excited for the albums they're on

Bob_the_Poppop

Saturday night. Was putting some time in on Twitch to clear affiliate requirements

Bob_the_Poppop

lol awesome

Bob_the_Poppop

A shame people got Bob to listen to Mercy. He had mentioned that he would listen to Cruel Summer after he's done with the other Kanye albums.

Samu Tolvanen

I was so hype for the juice wrld freestyle he’s literally the modern king of freestyles maybe all time best off top rappers and chat made him click off😭😭

Lil Slatt

Super anxious for you to get into Lupe Fiasco but at the sametime patiently waiting while you build up your bar catching abilities which id say have noticeably grown alot the last month or so.

Paul Salvador Estrada

What spoilers did he listen to that are important? I didn’t really notice any albums besides maybe one or two that he’ll need to react to.

Kashon Garner

You get no bitches

Lance Boldman

I'm glad you're doing this, you should tell us a time you are going to do it as an alert. There are a couple of misses and of course twitch spamming, but for instance with Flying Lotus' - no one can talk about how this is a song about mourning. No one had the space to state that with someone walking your wall with the Butcher. And then on top of it not putting on the new 10 Commandments instead as Johnny P which is weak as shit.

Anthony Almandeto

Chief Kief is garbage. I think you need to permaban whoever suggested that

Mohammad Moeladawilah

You should react to only single/loosies imo and during the song interact less with the chat it’s killing the reaction a bit too, love u

Stormas

Ditto

Tim Marlowe

He won't listen to me about Black Thought and the Roots. Good Luck.

Tim Marlowe

Dope stream. For the next stream you should react to some classic influential 80s singles (these could act as a palette cleanser for your late 80s/early 90s album reactions). Some singles that come to mind..."Eric B. Is President" by Eric B. & Rakim, "Road to the Riches" by Kool G Rap, and "The Symphony" by Juice Crew (a collective which included Kool G Rap - he's a beast btw).

Will H

It’s really not that big of a deal imo, he just did this so he could meet the requirement for twitch affiliate. I doubt it’s going to be a recurring thing. Also most of these songs are from albums that he’s not gonna hear for a loooong ass time, if at all

VeganMilk

Bob reacting to love sosa iconic

King Capital

Bro he should listen to the album not in the stream

Mahmood Al Mardi

This was AWSOME. Sad nobody hit u with a shit ton of Drake Loosies

John

Bob, if you want something spooky themed for October, consider 6 Feet Deep by Gravediggaz. Gravediggaz is a side project by RZA from Wu-Tang and a couple other guys. It's very Wu-Tang but with a darker horror vibe.

Red Rhino Music

Black Thought Funk Flex Freestyle could easily be its own video. It's widely regarded as the greatest freestyle performance of all time, many of his peers have said so including Diddy.

Josh

Lupe Fiasco - ‘Mural’ next for some mind blowing lyricism

Brandon Williams

Need some Frank singles reaction

ALMEIDA

A lot of very zoomer and spoiler suggestions but overall pretty nice, hope we finally get a Flying Lotus album reaction sometimes soon, even though his solo stuff is more electronic he's still an important modern hip hop producer.

Christopher Bloom

Wow I skimmed to see what he listened to and damn, what a feast. My only issue is I wished he stayed away from songs that are on albums/mixtapes. The community should do better only steering him towards loosies/singles that were released on their own.

CRASH

Maybe I take this channel too seriously but man there were like a lot of spoilers in this video. Hopefully Bob knows how to filter out singles that are going to be on albums that he’ll listen to. But honestly not a fan of this series

Mahmood Al Mardi

When was this? 🔥🔥 This was a great ideal and hopefully you do these weekly

james moore

Bob, you don’t got to react to Revenge by XXXTentacion but I’d recommend listening to it before his other projects to see his progress as an artist

Zach Gupta

It was too long honestly, should’ve said just lose it specifically

Zach Gupta

Chief keef YESS

Mr. Bigweld

4 hours of random singles?!?! Holy shit I’m getting so high tonight & watching this 🍿

Tribecalledjoe

hella respect for watchin the knxwledge remixes... one of the hidden gems of youtube. cookin soul too. also love to see the love for griselda, was my top group/most listened for a year or more... might be a long wait til you get to the price of tea in china... unless you see this comment :) my fav conway song is "wraith-ful" since you liked him and then maybe when u go deep in the rabbit hole we get to stuff like lil ugly mane, black thought, mach hommy, mick jenkins, roc marciano also, ur missing out on wutang. go listen to liquid swords asap....

bo jackson

when the whole chat made him stop from clicking a juice WRLD freestyle over eminem beats 🤦🏻‍♀️

Vlairity

Spencer Thompson
