2024-08-03 06:11:50 +0000 UTCIt's funny that the two I wanted to vote for in the original poll are here in a tie. I am also surprised that I saw both of them in the theater in the original runs. To Wong Foo was "ground breaking" when it came out. ALL my rainbow friends (old term from back in the day) and I rushed to see what the movie was about. We were shocked and excited that there would be a movie that represented us. We were also worried (scared?) how queer people were going to be shown. Yeah, this movie was a huge deal. Let's say were also thrown by the 2 {main stream} named actor chosen to play the leads ( Wesley! and Patrick?!?!!!). John Leguizamo was not yet mainstream and was known for his avant guard acting choices. Even if it is not chosen it's a cool movie as a snapshot of the times.
