Nearly Reaching The First Finish Line - Update 11/03/2025

Hey ya'll, hope all's well!

Been quite the month, as I'm sure you can tell from how bulky the last preview was, so let's take a moment and lay out exactly where we're at:

First, the Persona 3 Portable video will finally be going live at some point this week! As you likely know, that video has actually been done for a while, but I've been sitting on it for sponsorship-related reasons. However, I now finally have everything I need to put a bow on it and get it out the door, so expect that very soon.

On the Patho front, things are coming together better than I could have hoped.

This past month was a tad messy, spent quite a bit of time trying to schedule recording sessions that I considered essential to make Day 9 watchable, but that took so long to get in order that, by the time we could knock out recording, I'd already finished Day 10 (Hence why I didn't simply post Day 9 alone in the middle of the month).

At this point though, nearly everything else is sorted. As of this writing, I have edited the audio for the next Intermission (looking at what became of many of Stanislavski's students and how they built on/rejected his ideas), the entirety of Day 11's audio has been recorded and presently opened in Adobe Audition on my second monitor, and the first of two animatics that will play out during the final 2 Days. We also have about 95% of the character lines and quotations in hand.

Additionally, I have cleared out a space in my home where I can film. That will be getting set up over the next couple weeks to at last start filming all the live action bits, as well as key chunks of the Analysis portion. It should also be a semi-permanent installation, so any future live-action filming I do will be substantially easier.

Everything is falling into place! I'm finally starting to see what the fully formed work is going to look like, and it's only making me more excited to get everything together.

I don't want to make any promises because I know these last two days in particular are going to be uniquely involved, but I will say that I am quite optimistic about having the full summary in order by the end of the month. With the inertia I've had on this project, I firmly believe it's in the cards.

That said, it has cause me to put off finishing the 97 Poet's script at quite the speed I would have liked, and speed that I promised.

The issue, I have realized, is ultimately one of attention span: I am exceptionally good at locking in on specific tasks.

Locking in on editing an hour of video in the span of a couple week? Very doable - clearly, undeniably. Doing that while constantly switching gears back and forth from editing to writing? A bit more challenging, and challenging in a way that feels sub-optimal for both crafts.

I was already planning to go on a bit of a writing sprint once the core Haruspex summary was all in place, so I'll be committing that time to wrapping up the 97 Poets script as well.

Otherwise though, things are going quite well! I've also begun slowly laying the ground work for Post-Haruspex projects as well, even beyond the 97 Poets and Wanderstop videos, but I shall save that for when things start to congeal more. For now, I'll just say I'm very excited.

However, I think I will leave it there for now. As always thank you all for your support, none of this would be possible without it.
