RIIZE Riizing Loud Concert Seoul

I implore you. Even if you don't like RIIZE much. WATCH this.

Stray Kids enjoyed their spot at the top for a while but RIIZE has just surpassed them. Easily my favourite concert I've ever watched.

There actually aren't enough words to describe how thrilling this was. Their star quality and stage presence is SO REFRESHING, ESPECIALLY for an SM group. Having live vocals like I always say makes such a difference and usually JYP and YG groups do this amazingly but their branding/music doesn't really excite me in the same way so for RIIZE to do this? Oh I lost my mind.

SOHEE and WONBIN are treasures. They dominated this concert with not just INSANE vocals as and when necessary but the occasional shout to the audience too which I'M ALWAYS Yearning for idols to do. You can tell they're PRESENT in the performance and ARE PERFORMING not merely going through the moves without inspiration. Though not everything sounded rearranged, when you could hear the live band (i think), it added so much depth. Either way It didn't matter because the STAGE works, production, styling, lighting AND choreo kept things fresh and unpredictable and iNSPIRED.

Because of this, you end up enjoying the music a LOT more. Cos as much as I find myself frustrated at their lack of musical identity at times. Experiencing it all in one seating showed that having strong vocalists means your music CAN blend better because the vocals are establishing your identity. And when the songs are great, they're EXCELLENT.

SHOTARO in Honestly was an experience, I definitely want to check out his solo dance too. Eunseok, Anton and Sungchan had moments of magic too with their vocals especially.

This is ALL I've wanted from an SM group and other groups in SM have come very close but there's a sense of new age uninhibited ness you get from these newbies that feels EXTRA authentic and exhilarating to watch. One thing RIIZE Made clear is that SM 5th gen is in EXCELLENT hands.

God, imagine my first H2H concert lol.

I also wonder if RIIZE know's they are 6 now lol cos the gaps in several formations, even in songs that are OT6 was a little confusing and made things feel off balance at times but in a way I loved the imperfection lol.
