Addickted(pt1), 2k

yayyyy new fic time! this one should be about 12-15k total. a little bit of a softer story, some romance, and of course nasty smut🥰 I love dad Johnny, I hope you all will too💕

Your mom’s usually on time to pick you up.”

Stroking your fingers through straight locks of dark hair, you frown. Checking the time on your phone again before you crouch down to meet your student at eye level.

“My dad, mommy’s dead.” She pouts, looking away.

Oh shit. How could you forget! After the amount of times you have gone through Byeol’s file this summer and read up about her therapy sessions with the school counselor, you should know better.

“I’m so sorry sweetie, it’s been such a long week.” You sigh. Gently squeezing her shoulders. “My mind’s a bit fuzzy right now.”

The longest week. The first month of a new school year always starts off hectic with trying to wrangle a bunch of kids to be cooperative while also chasing them around during recess to not fall and hurt themselves. It’s not like you need another sprained ankle to be blamed for.

Dad’s never late.” Byeol grumbles, clutching onto the straps of her backpack. “My home isn’t too far, he couldn’t have hit traffic.”

“Let’s give him a couple more minutes.” Circling your knees, you stay squatted down by her side. Eyeing the now emptied lot area that your second graders get picked up from after school. “I’m sure he’ll be here soon.”

“He better take me out to get an ice cream shake for this.” She says sassily, crossing her arms over her chest. “Daddy only lets me have a treat once a week. He says too many sweets will rot my pretty teeth.”

Smiling at the way she kicks at the ground, you notice how pristine her school outfit is. As if someone ironed the pleated knee length skirt she has on and sprayed it to not wrinkle. That paired with the Prada headband neatly placed on her head to keep her baby hairs smoothed away from her face. Byeol’s file did mention that her father has remained unmarried ever since his wife’s passing. Yet everyday she came into class wearing all types of stylish color coordinated outfits, new sneakers and designer flats. And her book bag, a costly Dior backpack she slung around onto her desk before setting out her homework that somehow had perfect penmanship at her young age.

“What does your dad do for work? Maybe he’s caught up in a meeting..”

“Oh daddy works from home now.” She nods, keeping her eyes on the gates where parents enter from. “He said no job is worth sacrificing the time he could be spending with me.”

Hmm, works from home, prioritizes taking care of his daughter, wouldn’t it just be crazy if he was handsome on top of everything.

Daddy!”

A black range rover smoothly enters the lot, glittering sun off of the freshly waxed hood. Parking right in front of you, the driver door gets thrown open and on top of everything—the most handsome man you’ve ever seen stands up with a huge smile on his face. Nearly toppling you over from where you’re squatted with your eyes dragging up from his white sneakers to his muscular calves, the black shorts he wears that reach mid-thigh, and a gray hoodie loose on his clearly broad frame.

Byeol!” The softest, most charming and syrupy honey tone you’ve heard exits his lips. Lunging forward to reach the little girl beside you, he hauls her into her arms and tickles her side. “I’m late, aren’t I?”

Byeol giggles, forcing her mouth into a frown and pokes the lines forming whiskers on his cheeks. “I’m the last one here! My teacher was worried!”

Ah. That’s you. You have to remember to pick your jaw up from the floor as he turns to look at you and the sun hits his eyes. His soft brown eyes, squinting from the glare of light as his smile expands. “How rude of me to not even introduce myself. I’m Johnny, Byeol’s father.

Jesus Christ. If God can hear you right now, you really hope he’s tuning out the lewd thoughts passing through your mind.

“Johnny, yes, I’ve heard all about you.” You swallow to say. Quickly glancing up and down to get one more look at his larger size.

Tall. Very tall.

“I’ve actually been meaning to schedule a time to meet finally. I had to miss the first PTA meeting of the school year due to work stuff.” He brushes off, extending his hand that's not latched onto carrying his daughter. “Great to finally meet you! Byeol always goes on and on about how much she enjoys your class when I pick her up from school.”

“Dad!” She whines, tucking her face into his shoulder.

“Ah, well, she’s been a great pleasure to have as a student this year.” You smile, leaning closer with your hand covering your mouth. “I’m not supposed to have favorites but..”

Johnny laughs, the skin around his eyes wrinkling. His gums peak out above his teeth, cheeks bunched up with lines. “I’ll definitely make it to the next meeting. I really want to try to stay involved in her education and help wherever I can.”

“We’ll be having a meeting this week actually,” you nod, reaching for your phone. “About the annual bake sale. The parents voted last time for everyone participating to bring their baked goods to vote off the ones they don’t approve of.”

“Oh, is it a contest?” His forehead bunches together, roughening his handsome features. More rugged, adding onto how tall and manly he looks. Especially as you tilt your neck back to really look at him.

“Ah, no. Many of the parents are worried because of gluten intolerances and allergies their children have..” you trail off, nervously fixing your hair.

You’re not exactly supposed to flirt with your students' parents. In fact, there is no way that doesn’t go completely against your teaching code of conduct. Reminding yourself of this, you stand up straight and tangle your fingers together to stop from brushing through the ends of your hair. Back stiff as you nod. “Probably not a good idea to show up empty handed if you do plane to join us, Mr. Suh.”

Dadddy,” Byeol hooks her fist into the collar of his shirt. “Ice cream!”

Johnny laughs nervously, bouncing her against his side. “You know you’re not allowed to eat sweets during the week.”

“But you were late!”

“She has you there.” You add, causing his cheeks to brighten with a tinge of pink.

You are on the PTA committee?” He asks, raising an eyebrow.

“I’m the president, Mr. Suh.”

Johnny nods, throwing Byeol’s backpack onto his shoulder that she isn’t occupying. Making it appear quite miniature in comparison to his broad build, he clears his throat. “Thank you for waiting with my daughter. I’ll be sure to arrive on time with a plate of sweets for the meeting.”

“I look forward to it Mr. Suh!” You say cheerfully. Shifting on the sides of your feet to calm your nerves.

He finally waves goodbye, setting Byeol into the passenger seat and buckling her up before looking at you over his shoulder at you one more time and opening the driver door to head home. It’s only after you see his car disappear through the school’s gate that you let out a huge sigh of relief, placing your hands on your hips.

What the hell.

Leave it to one of your students to have an absolute hunk of a father. The last time you saw a man that good looking only existed in the webtoons you dig your nose into on the train you take home. Byeol’s father resembled these men in the romantic webcomics that have taken over your life. Tall, broad shoulders, high cheekbones, sharp eyes, and a gorgeous smile that could make you stop breathing.

Real men you have to dodge daily on this public transportation ride that takes over an hour to and from the school could never compare. The buttons on their shirts ready to pop, hairlines too far back to still be visible, the life drained out of them from working morning to night. They could never match up to the fictional men you daydream about all day while waiting for the bell to ring so that you can get back to your normal self and enjoy the somewhat cheesy tales of love that make your heart swell.

Mr. Suh, he could be one of them. That smile and those eyes, the way he had to look down at you. How easily he picked up Byeol as if she weighed no more than a 2lb dumbbell while you struggled to carry her down from the jungle gym just last week. Making a mental note to purchase a set of arm weights to wear during your commute later that day. Having to lift and carry 30-50pd children had not been a part of your job description.

He really looked so much like the leads in these webtoons that have captured your mind. The most exciting part of your day is when you finally find a seat on the train and settle down, tightening your coat as you load up the page you left on the night before. Reading at school was absolutely out of the question. Even during your breaks in the teacher’s lounge, more like a room with a microwave, fridge, lumpy couch and too many of your coworkers asking invasive questions.

Part of you knew that being a teacher for children wouldn’t be an exciting career, but after years of your parents pestering you to choose something to study, it was the easiest route.

The honest truth is that you’d rather be creating, maybe even your own web novel for many to enjoy and become fans of. Your parents had always made you feel silly for those dreams, stating that you’d never be successful enough to sustain a livable wage to keep you afloat. Teaching was truly a scapegoat to shut them up, and continue to spend the rest of your free time curled up on your couch watching romance dramas, reading another book about someone else’s love story, another online comic to fill your head with more ideas and fantasies.

As much as you love the kids that come in and out of your classroom the fulfillment part was definitely lacking. Each day you marked off of your calendar made you long for more, gazing out of your classroom window wondering when your life will change. When it will finally be your time to find love.

It’s easy to find yourself mindlessly washing your hair with a head full of Mr. Suh.

What’s he like?

What are his hobbies?

What type of women does he find desirable?

And do you fit that description?

As you dried off your hair and made your way to the kitchen to heat up leftovers you continued to play twenty questions with yourself. Nice and easy, until you remembered his thick calves covered with hair.

How much taller than you Mr. Suh is.

How thick his biceps looked flexed around his daughter as he effortlessly carried her.

God, what could he possibly do to you..

Another night alone in bed no later than 9pm to rise and wake up early for a long day at school had you reaching for your phone to continue reading. A story centered around a single father would do the trick tonight to send you straight to lala land with a smile on your face.

Searching through tags for a new web novel to read you end up finding a description that grabs your attention.

Erectile Dysfunction Of The Heart: Recently single father Jae can’t get it up. It is exactly what you think it is.

Failed relationship after failed relationship has led him down a path of misery. Depressed, aging, and worried for the future of his sex life, he tries out new kinks and learns that self love is the only way to find your true love.

Snuggling deeper into your pillows, you open the story to read. Biting on your lip as you learn about the lead character Jae. Gorgeous, just like Mr. Suh, a perfect bedtime story.
