Reward Update: Red Eye
Added 2024-08-12 20:10:00 +0000 UTCHowdy everyone! Bear with me, I've given this a lot of thought and I'm crossing my fingers this doesn't disappoint anybody too much.
After much consideration, I've decided that I'll be removing the Weekend Sketch reward from the Red Eye tier. Here's some reasoning behind this:
- I'd actually be losing money not leaving the slot available to other tiers or FA users. When someone uses their 50 paid via Patreon for their weekend sketch instead, the Patreon income wouldnt be the additional income I initially planned for it to be.
- Red Eye tier members get their colored sketch anyway as a tier reward (if they choose that over a sticker/sticker pair). It can be upgraded if the difference is paid to a two-character sketch as well, or with other additional extras (alts and so on).
- 3 options for art-related rewards was a bit too convoluted and stressful for me to manage. because one option is still a colored sketch, i find the weekend sketch option redundant, and also just confusing on my part when i try to organize what i need to get done because i gotta remember to slot folks in for whatever following weekend.
I promise I'm not gonna make it a reoccurring habit to remove or downgrade rewards. I normally put a LOT of thought into these to make sure that doesn't happen. But this was one I should've considered for a bit longer.
For this month, if you're a red eye-tier patron and you haven't redeemed your reward yet and want to redeem a weekend sketch, you still can! And for those who already requested this of course, I'll redeem that as well. But this will be effectively removed as of September.
