Wowzers! May I say that I have been absolutely dying to work with Reed for such a long time now! I'm so glad we were finally able to meet up after years of admiring her and the work she has created. Honestly, scheduling this shoot took longer than the shoot itself. This is my last set from my trip to California, and taken while I was driving out of Cali actually. We tried to set something up while I was in LA, but unfortunately Reed was in Arizona for an event, but fortunately we were going to be crossing paths the same day! After I was done shooting at Salvation Mountain and Reed was on her way to LA, we met up off the freeway at what we thought would be our destination for the shoot. The art piece we wanted to shoot at was actually taken down so we had to find another place to go. Reed knew of a location with beautiful scenery in Palm Springs, so we tailed her car to the destination, pulled off the side of the road, and climbed over pokey and abrasive brush to find this spot in the shade. It was 110+ degrees, there were fire ants attempting to ambush us, and all of our energy was depleted. We got this quick set down in about 20 minutes after countless days of trying to make these plans and definitely have some absolutely breathtaking shots!
Let me know what you think! I love to hear your thoughts on this :)
