HP: Is It Wrong To Be A Sociopath In Magical World? [ Chapter 20 ]

Reminding him of that forces him to think on his words that 'someone of my lineage' is simply above his petty squabbles.

He had just opened his mouth when Hooch arrived back at the pitch telling everyone to get back into positions and get ready for a simple rise up, then hover and lower back to the ground.

She seemed to stress the words though she didn't even blink when it was clear that a student was missing, maybe she ran into McGonagall on the way back. That's the only thing I could think of at least.

Though as I kicked off the ground and floated for a few seconds, I noted that it wasn't as bad as I thought, though I wasn't exactly as high as I would think it would take for me to start being more than uncomfortable with the height.

Still, I wasn't exactly good at the control part of flying as it took a moment to lower myself back down onto the ground as the broom seemed to fight me on what I wanted to do.

I guess out of everything there was much worse to be bad at.

….

It was currently dinner and Draco had just returned from taunting Harry and Ron, though from the looks of it, Harry seemed fine but now nervous while Ron seemed to be explaining something to him, while Draco looked even more smug than usual.

He sat down and started muttering to Crabbe, Goyle, and Pansy about something.

After a moment Blaise walked down and sat next to me.

"What's Draco being smug about?" Blaise in question rolled his eyes before telling me off before actually giving me an answer.

"Last names, Grey, last names, you're being incredibly disrespectful when you use everyone's first names like a muggle. Malfoy seems to have convinced those lions of yours to be out of bed at around midnight. I think he's planning on sticking Filch on them."

I rolled my eyes in an overly mocking way at his eye roll while replying to him while also thinking about what I had just been told.

"You're aware that my reason for that is to annoy you all, Blaise. Besides that, not my 'lions.'" He snorted at that while I thought about Draco's plan and if I should warn the two of them, for some reason I was thinking I shouldn't.

Just something like I'm missing something that I can't understand. A missing memory then, that's really annoying.

"They so are, they're the only ones that you actually talk to besides me and don't think I haven't noticed the way that you've deviated Malfoy away from them every now and again. You're protecting slight in your own weird creepy way."

I didn't bother replying to his idiotic claim as I was more or less lost in thought about something else entirely. Should I or should I not give them a heads up. I don't believe I should, after all I think this is where they find that Cerberus.

….

It was a couple days later, during which I had a few nice enough chats with Harry though, I believe that Ron is beginning to stop looking past the green on my robes.

Said conversations haven't really been that nice to me after the fact as I've had to dodge out of the way of a few more than not overly pleased looking higher years.

But avoiding them is really easy when the only places I can be found are spots where they can't do anything because it's too public to risk.

On the flip side I've managed a couple interesting hexes though counter charming them was a bit harder, and I've seemed to just straight pass on any of the jinxes which are basically much less serve hexes.

On that note I've managed to figure out the basics for countering most jinxes though so I guess there has to be some give and take.

Besides that, my lackluster sleep schedule apparently isn't the best for classes as even though I already know basically everything they're talking about, being half asleep is apparently an insult to the professors.

Currently though it was breakfast and I was noting that Draco was absent, he recently seemed to start planning something, the best Blaise has managed to figure out is that we might be getting into a duel or at worst a surprise attack in the common room.

It was mostly a guess on his part though it did make me focus back on learning Protego, I've actually managed forming it quite recently, something that took way to long, but it's really weak at the moment, a baseball I barely managed to Transfigure out from a quill was almost able to crack my sub par shield spell.

Though those thoughts were interrupted as everyone began to look up at something, moving my eyes upwards, I noticed that an owl was carrying a package that looked like a broom with another with a letter on it following quickly behind.

I almost forgot that Harry is on the Quidditch team now, he never mentioned it to me, I think it's something to do with house loyalty which I don't really understand.

Still, I forced my way out of that headspace as Draco stood up, I didn't notice him showing up in the first place, and walked out of the hall quickly while Harry and Ron were beginning to get up as well, probably to cut the two of them off at the pass to inspect the broom Harry just got for getting on the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

I should congratulate him on that soon, though for right now considering that I have the morning off, I'm going to look into practicing some of the spells in that massive tome called 'One Thousand and One House Keeping Charm.’

It might not sound all that thrilling but that's because no one really seemed to understand that feeling of magic as you used it.

Maybe its because I've gone through a whole life without magic, so I'm a bit more sensitive to it all, but now that I had it, feeling it move around when I use a spell, well it's super interesting, not exactly something that one could get addicted to but one that made me want to practice at the very least.
