we're finally here!! my first time watching daredevil season 3 🎉🥳 | episode 3x01 commentary!

"i'd rather die as the devil of hell's kitchen than live as matt murdock" broke my HEART 😭

but happy daredevil: born again release day!!

the timeline's been a bit rough, but i managed to watch & film the entirety of season 3 before we got here, thank goodness 🙏 & now all i have to do is edit & get everything up :) i'm thinking to post this last season concurrently with born again, because i love watching the shows as they drop weekly with you guys & don't want to miss out on any of that fun - if it ends up being more of a direct continuation from s3, it might be a bit weird, but i'm hoping it'll be fine. (if not, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it 😅) i'm just grateful i managed to catch up & finish watching it all before today, lol.

i also think i'm going to create a separate playlist for the born again episodes, so hopefully it's not confusing or anything as we go through! i've renamed this one in advance; it has seasons 1-3 & the defenders :)

i'm genuinely so excited to be watching this show with you guys - season 3 was a ~wild & tense~ ride, to say the least, & i'm going to try and get all the episodes up as quickly as i possibly can!! the color grading & cinematography this season made everything look like a painting; it was absolutely gorgeous 🥺

also, a slightly unrelated note from this episode - foggy saying "it doesn't stop me from wishing i brought him some sweatpants instead" is still so devastating, because we all know matt would've been down in that pit with those sweatpants instead, and then he absolutely would've died under the pile of rubble... foggy bringing him the suit saved his life & he doesn't even know it yet 😭

i hope everyone has some fun watching this episode (& the rest of the season!) with me, & i can't wait for born again to come out tonight!! i'm super hopeful this season is going to be a fantastic one :)
