let’s watch daredevil: 2x10! βš–οΈπŸ–€

claire is not getting paid enough to deal with this 😭

& every time matt purposefully isolates from his entire support system i want to (gently) shake some sense into him 😭

but fisk is definitely going to be out for blood now, so… that’s great πŸ™ƒ

mandatory 'RIP wesley' moment 😭 no but i love that entire analysis!! it makes so much sense, too. it also kills me that he's in the middle of beating someone up, but there's still a portion of his brain making sure that the mask doesn't slip & appearances are kept 😭

Such a good point, and i love that it almost insinuates that boxing is a form of communication, too! taking the 'murder is a love language' to a new level (minus the murder part ofc, lol)

I don't think Fisk recognized Matt's voice, but rather the hit. Matt managed to get a hit on Fisk's mouth, and Fisk goes "Ah yes, the son of a boxer." At the end of the episode, he's eating his meal when he touches the wounded part of his mouth. He has a moment of thought. I mean aside from Daredevil, no one else has really hit Fisk's face in his adult life. It's enough to intrigue Fisk, who then asks for the file on Matthew Murdock to be reexamined.

One of the interesting moments is that, around the 15:49 mark of your video, is the part where Fisk says "With the woman who I love... whom. Whom I love." I read a theory about that line delivery: Fisk is usually careful with how she speaks. He likes to put on the appearance of someone well-educated and is of a higher class than how he was raised. He usually speaks slower, and takes pauses to think of certain "big" words. Like last episode, where he was speaking to Frank in person and said "I assumed that the stories that I read in the paper about your attacks on the criminal world were..... apocryphal." or when he says "Cause everyone warned me that prison would be an inhumane environment. It is. But I... I find it refreshing. The perfect... microcosm... of the animal world." He relies on language to maintain his mask of "I am of a higher class" because everything else betrays him. He didn't grow up rich in the city, so when he went on a date with Vanessa to a luxury restaurant, it's a place Wesley recommended. When they were ordering wine, he was unfamiliar withthe brands and types and went with Wesley's recommendation, and Vanessa clocked his unfamilarity with the setting. (Even in "Echo" this moment has a loose callback when Maya pours the wine down the drain and Fisk says "It came highly recommended.") In the heat of the moment, while arguing against Matt and having no time to carefully deliberate each word, he slips up and say "who I love" but then immediately catches himself and says "whom." I'm not sure if that theory has any solid merit or is some crack tumblr idea lol but it's something I haven't quite forgotten.
