Monthly update Oct/Nov

Hello friends and supporters,

Hope you all doing great!

October and Halloween went out with a bang at the Nocturna Festival in Barcelona together with our friends in Covenant among others! After a few hours sleep, we went to the airport to fly to Mexico City for our first gig there. It was fantastic and people were crazy on both gigs.

What we didn't know was that Mexico City is located on 2,240 meters (7,350 ft) altitude, which gave good ol' Mercury a bit of trouble getting enough oxygen while performing. Imagine to go against the reflex to inhale when you're out of air, to instead exhale and keeping a note with confidence.. Along with no sleep for 2 days and a jetlag (showtime was 8am in the morning Swedish time) it was not optimal, but worth every second, maybe for the amazing crowd alone! We also met new friends and finally got to meet longtime fans and supporters! ...and of course we learned that we need more time to climatize next time, just like the Olympic teams, in order to give you 110% instead of 85%.

We connected with a great, professional promotor in Mexico and we talked about coming back next year. Now that we have a good connection with serious people, we will play more in Mexico and South America in the future. We also wish to say thanks to the promotors in both Spain/Mexico - we couldn't feel more welcome. Gracias!

Only 7 days after the gig i Mexico we went to perform in the little pearl of a town called Sandviken.. It's truly a diametrical contrast to the immense pulsating energy of Mexico City - A calm, government funded festival, deep in the inland woods of northern Sweden.

But now we're back home, but. Cleopatra asks for more cover songs and who are we to say no? Turned out we have a deadline on Friday for a Valentine's track.. More news about that soon! The work with the record is also moving forward, but we're still in decision making about what the sound is gonna be like. There are loose ideas to split up the record into an EP and an album, but we don't really know yet. We picked up the ball with another mask maker (Carrie) in order to get the right execution and finish. We're still in discussion regarding the look of the costumes.

You also suggested that you wanted to see more of studio work etc. - there might be some very cool news regarding that soon too.. Stay tuned!

Thanks once again for your support. We're forever grateful for keeping Priest afloat and thriving - the journey ahead will be the most ambitious and exciting so far!

Best wishes,

//pM

I’m so curious about a Priest Valentines 🖤⚡️💖 You always put such a unique spin on covers I’m sure this will be just as cool. And glad to see you survived the altitude change… I hadn’t thought about that… I would love to one day spend Halloween with Priest!

This was the best spooky season of my life! No kidding, and it was mainly thanks to you guys! 🖤🔥 I know how altitude difference feels, I traveled from my hometown by the sea to Mexico City, and I can understand a little how you felt. Despite everything, you've managed to give us a memorable first show, and of course we are waiting to see you next year, I'm sure you'll have more Mexican fans at your next show when you come back, many of them didn't know you were coming to Mexico and some others were skeptical after two cancelled shows. And about the new costumes and covers, I'm really curious and looking forward to that, please give us updates soon :)

I'm glad you made it through the show Mercury! You should maybe spend some time in Colorado to learn high altitude breathing to prepare you for future thinner air area shows. 😉 🖤🤘🏻⚡

I am very happy that they liked Mexico and that they enjoyed it a lot, the problem was also the place that did not have much ventilation, it was very hot but it was the best Halloween show here in Mexico, there were many publications that it was a success ... now we love those promoters who did everything possible to come obviously we expect them next year and with open arms they are always welcome ... and the support remains unconditional, there is no doubt about that. I hope to see you in january...i'm not sure yet

For real though, hope you guys had a speedy recovery! Sounds like it must have been an intense yet fun time down in Mexico! Also stoked to see things have been progressing on the new material! Keep kicking ass 🤘🤠

Awwuh, poor Mercury ! I’ve never traveled far out of Texas, so I can’t say I understand how it is. At least I can say that his effort was not taken for granted, I’m sure! I know we all appreciate yall coming out to see us, wherever we are. ALSO sooo excited for more covers! I swear, yall do SUCH a good job! I really think yall should cover Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’, I know that shit would be a bop. As well as ‘Closer’ by NIN- I’d love to hear a more synthwave style of the song. (Even though I know y’all had told me you believed the song already perfect, a girls gotta try) thank you all so much for what you do- your music always helps me get through my day! I call Dark Pulse my ‘haul ass’ album for when I’m behind on my route for work lol. Works like a charm. Anyways, I hope you all have a great time touring and all that jazz- I look forward to the new costumes, as well as seeing you when you come by! (I think the closest you’ll be is 4 hours but I think it’ll be worth the drive)

In terms of sound, might I suggest more boops and slightly less beeps ;)

Oh man, I know when I moved from the north to the south, I was sick for two weeks because of the major difference in altitude. I can only imagine how challenging it was for Mercury and the birds. Somehow, you all always go above and beyond for your fans and it's admirable, but also don't forget to take care of yourselves in between! We love y'all and rather you not be upside down fishies. We want to continue to support our favorite band. <3 And covers and new costume designs you say!? Looking forward to that! Thanks for the updates and always keeping on!
