Listened to it again; yeah just seems like ecosocialism but annoying :/ growth and degrowth seem to be besides the point of directing the productive forces towards a harmonious industrial metabolism. Are public transit systems and continental power grids growth or degrowth? Is lab-grown meat growth or degrowth? Its clear any work towards dealing with climate change is gonna involve an expansion in certain economic activity and contraction in others. Degrowth discourse just seems to be a way to get out of saying anything substantive.
