The Π―Retro Show Best Bits
Added 2023-12-19 00:30:01 +0000 UTCThis doesn't really qualify as early access if you already saw the most recent The Π―Retro Show at the end of November, but as it was over 40 minutes long I decided to try making this "Best Bits" version, trimmed down to 18 minutes, but complete with new opening title sequence!
8-Bits?... 16-Bits?... No, ...
I loved everything in the original episode, which is why it all made it through the careful curation process, but it will be interesting to see how this performs. It might be more popular as it's shorter, or less popular as everyone's already seen the longer one Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
It also has a few added words of wisdom/stupidity from Junifractic, along with a couple of other random tweaks/updates.

Thanks man. Yeah this led me also to think about making a yearly best bits video, but that means remembering what the best bits were lol! But month by month I can start to note the best bits that I really enjoyed for 2024, and keep a log. The fax video I'm just happy to have made. I've received perhaps 50 faxes so far, maybe more, so it's actually done better than expected in that regard, but yes the video itself... well fax machines just don't excite people, and I understand that. It'll be a slow burner that one, but will I think get appreciation over time. My flipphones video was similar and I was really disappointed, but it now has over 60K views which is more than most videos make it to in a few months, so I'm learning one can never be sure Β―\_(γ)_/Β― Happy holidays mate and I hope you will love the Xmas special. To the Moon!....

Despite saying "Best bits" in large letters someone won't realise it contains previous content Β―\_(γ)_/Β― A RR-Retrospective with your highlights from the whole year is another avenue. We can go mad trying to understand the 'algorithm' and user behaviour. This week's video has lots of lovely comments from viewers following the nostalgic and emotional journey. The previous week's fax video I could see had huge effort poured into it, but it seems fewer people gave it a chance and scrolled by. π’ The thumbnails are as good as they come already, and good for you for not leaning on clickbaity 'shocked face / ultimate / you'll never guess' titles. Excited for the π special.
