The holidays are coming up, and you know what that means? Time for family, and more importantly: Plenty of time for mapmaking :D
I've made a lot of progress revamping the skill system over the last few weeks, and I wanted to post a short teaser showcasing the simple mana system that is used for custom attacks. Natural mana regeneration is quite slow, but some items can help restore it much faster. In this video, you see me launch a bunch of poison projectiles from my "Blighted Branch" wand, hitting 7 enemies in the back line. This restores more than half my mana, allowing me to use my powerful "Flame Quake" attack - triggered by jump-attacking - a second time.
The goal here is to create a simple system that feels intuitive (no weird triggers like Q'ing items :D) and allows for fast-paced combat and interesting synergies. There are tons of custom abilities, but these two are probably the last ones that I show before the map is released.
