I enjoyed the minimal editing of the first few episodes. The further along we've gone the more editing there's been and with that longer wait times between episodes. All of the content is good, replacing it with editing is like changing the oil in your car twice.

Because right now the only gain he gets from releasing more then one episode a month is ad revenue from the youtube post and the good graces of the audience, the latter of which clearly isn't priority numero uno. At least with a per episode payment system there is more incentive for him to drop it ASAP for patreons, he could possibly leave his "not-legally-full-time-but-actually-full-time" slave job with more of our gamer bucks, and he can still wait as long as he wants for Youtube plebs to get access so more join the Patreon. Sorry, what I meant to say was: Pob should drink 4 gallons of milk and spend the whole session rolling CON saves to not launch curdled cream over Baby Duke

2023-02-22 18:51:00 +0000 UTCY'know I really am glad they got out of the tavern, the format that this is shaping up to be lends itself to small adventures. This backstory is an example of that describing the history of our main characters through their memories. In this way it still has a minor familiarity to the comedic tone and pacing as in my mind it is three people each melding opinions, memories, and personalities throughout their background. This means that the general nonsensical way in which they approach the surroundings and npcs fits perfectly in this history as it's a group memory. For DnD there is a general seriousness regarding roleplaying and world building, and I don't think they are really deviating from that only playing maniac characters which from what we have seen in and so far, have very valid reasons for their general impulsiveness and insanity. I like the concept of the tavern being a hub or base from which these distrustful fucking reprobates can slowly feel and reach out into a world that is this one in particular the city of Pinewood Pass. I know it doesn't seem that perfect of a setting at first glance, but it really is because it is a hub of merchants, mercenaries, and criminals. From what we are introduced to, to what we learn. It's fun because I can see our main characters getting away with whatever they want until they slowly develop into not good people, but homeless people who rule Pinewood Pass or if they fucking go insane the fucking heroes of Pinewood Pass. I don't know man I love this shit, I'm high as can be on some Og Kush, my bong is nice and cold, and my taco bell is arriving. I expect good things. 2023-02-21 13:20:50 +0000 UTCThe character backstories are bottle episodes, they fell down a dimension door or some shit in the last main episode (ep8), ultimately they’re dimension hopping for the purpose of confronting Spider Lord Ozai who’s weaved the web of “tavern dimensions” that they continue to fuck around in as well as enslaved countless people from Fates Fork and surrounding area. Basically, they were drugged by Stevan (clearly working for the spider lord) and passed out in the tavern where they then “woke up” in triple x saloon, they navigated their way to the next tavern dimension by following the convoluted instructions on the “memory foam” strip of paper they received from “the Courier” AKA Baby Duke. After “waking up” in the next tavern, a dilapidated piece of shit, apocalyptic version of Fates Fork they took a long rest. During that time, all of the people they convinced to jump with them into the next tavern try to move around in the new dimension and end up being killed and used as breeding grounds for flys. My guess is this is a farm area for the mind spiders, similar to Neo being shown “the Desolation of the Real” in the Matrix. After the long rest it takes them 2 episodes to traverse the “Desolation” dimension and then in episode 8, they meet a mimic and put the shoes on it that came from Lloyd in episode 4, effectively using it as a slave, they then get to the top of the tower they’ve been traversing and come to a literal dimension door and instead of going through that they end up falling down a hole. That’s the mainline story so far heavily reduced. The character backstory episodes should be over with and episode 13 should be back to the main storyline. Hope this helps you.

Like is it just me or did they just randomly start dimension hopping until they eventually gave up and just decided to do character backstories?...
