How to Stop Creepy Guys

Just dug this old one up from the vaults! This was recorded while I still lived in Vegas, more specifically in August of 2017. Back in the full time job days. I worked 40 hours a week – Friday through Tuesday – at a restaurant in Wynn/Encore, and almost every other weekend, to blow off stress, I'd drive deep out into the desert, listening to songs like "No Expectations" by the Rolling Stones or "Poison Oak" by Bright Eyes. That's how I decompressed. This weekend here, I rented at room at Wild Bill's Hotel in Primm. Yep. Primm. The shitty resort on the way into Vegas, but still 45 minutes from the Strip itself. There were probably 6 other guests in the entire hotel, but of course I got checked in right next to an occupied room, so the whole video here I'm speaking in a hushed and self conscious way. As for the video: I think it's kinda good. Just watched it for the first time since I posted it on Facebook (back on a page called "The Benedict Arnold" that doesn't exist anymore). This was my first foray into the stand up style videos I did back in the early days of my channel, and is I guess kind of a taste of how my stand up will someday go. It's essay-ish, I guess. Very Intro-supporting argument–conclusioney.

What's up, Danny! Yeah man, I'd like to do more stuff like this, but I feel like people have come to expect something so different now that I'm afraid to go back.

Hey dude, I listened to that one in its entirety once from Las Vegas to Bakersfield (was meeting my parents for the night), and it was right around the time I filmed this video! It was a great experience, man, and I still think about that drive all the time.

Thanks for the video! I can't get enough of your content. Sort of related, if you ever need to purge stress, there is an album called Songs For The Deaf by Queens of the Stone Age. The album was apparently meant to simulate the drive from L.A. to Joshua Tree. I always thought it would be amazing to experience that drive while listening to that album in it's entirety.
