May Update!

Whew! Things have finally calmed down a bit for me.

I wanted to take a while to think and wait to sort my thoughts out before I made this month's update. (I also wanted to wait the week because it was my birthday on Sunday!)

So there are a few things I do want to talk about, but it's going to mostly revolve around the feedback and overall future of my Patreon.

Before I get to that however, I also want to make a note on my current workload. As you know, I've steadily been picking off commissions so I can begin clearing the way to finally get to Patreon rewards.

Clearing these requests will also effect plans for next year, so it now my sole purpose to get everything done BEFORE 2023. And with how my commission list is looking now, hopefully this goal can be achieved in a few months time.

The reason for this basically comes back to what I asked some of you on my last post, being, whether I should make a full switch to ko-fi and abandon Patreon altogether for preferences with ko-fi's system.

With the feedback I've received from both sides, I've seen that a sudden hard switch is more difficult to pull off what with all the work I have. And while I may have my own thoughts reserved about Patreon, I also still use it to support friends and others who cannot easily make that switch, as well as support my self each month as Patreon also contributes to a factor of my own personal things in life.

So I have decided, I will not be dropping Patreon, BUT, I will also be working towards equally using ko-fi for support as well. This also means as of next year, a new rewards system will be taking place, and I have decided that I will be dropping the Patreon Points System as of 2023.

Of course, you will still accrue and use  points for remainder of the 2022 period as well as be able to spend points, even after crossing over to 2023. So if you have an outstanding balance with your points, you can still spend them on the old rewards system, but points will no longer be the main way to receive them, and I will remove them once everyone has used the entirety of their bank.

My aim for next year is to be able to both let ko-fi members, and Patrons receive rewards at equal chances, but I cannot do that without clearing out what I owe for this year. So until then, I have decided to keep the points system until I'm able to work out more details on how 2023 is going to work out.

In any case, I'm still working and I'm drawing closer to getting to Patreon rewards! I still appreciate the patience you guys have given me to sort things out and I'm hoping this'll all be over soon and I can catch up and get back to giving the content I want to give.
