September Update!

Hello everybody! Sorry this update has been a tad late, I've had my nose deep in a lot of ground work so I've been often than not, distracted about getting things done promptly.

This month's update is going to have a few things regarding the comic, my work, and rewards as I've seemed to run into a small problem.

So to get straight to the point, I'm having tablet problems!

August and September have been my busiest months trying to catch up on commission and reward work, as well as preparing the Guardia website for a clean launch that was supposed to be set for this month, however, my tablet is once again having problems and I'm due for a replacement.....though I've only had it for about 9 months.

Because of the set back, there may be a small delay in rewards and commissions getting out. Ultimately, I've decided that due to this occurrence, I will be halting work on Guardia and the website, and will continue to work on the comic in October. So here are some updates on what will be affected during this period.

Commissions and Patreon Rewards.

Thankfully, this won't be too affected. Once I receive my replacement tablet, I will be putting a huge focus on making sure commissions and rewards are finished before the month's end. During the wait, the least I can do is put a huge focus on completing these.

If you know me, I hate to keep people waiting, especially with all the past setbacks I've had before regarding medical issues and financial problems because I had to quit my job due to my ankle injury.

I feel using this time to catch up and start off on a clean slate will work better for me in the future and help manage things due to the fresh start, so expect most, if not, all owed work to be completed this month.

Redeeming October Rewards.

With the plans set in motion for September, and getting Guardia ready for next month. I have also decided that I will not be taking October rewards for the month.

This is so I can put 100% focus onto making sure the comic comes out, and it gives me extra time to refine the last bits of preparation that I need to make. Though I wont be taking rewards for October, this does not mean you wont be able to redeem reward points.

You will still gain points for October, and all rewards will be set to November instead.

If you want to redeem points for September rewards, you have until September 20th, until all rewards will be taken for November instead. If you've already redeemed a September reward, additional redemptions will be taken for November and after,

Commission Openings.

During October, I will only be taking 5 commissions at a time rather than 10 to 15.

Of course, Patrons will still have priority to the openings of commissions, and rather than posting commission openings on Twitter, I will be posting slots on Patreon and the Guardia Discord!

It's probably something I should have been doing for a while, but with all the work I've been caught up with, and trying to keep up with my own personal expenses (rent, bills etc.) October will hopefully be easier for me to handle by reducing the amount of commissions I take at a time while I'm actively working on the comic.

So expect these openings to come here first, before I post them publicly.

As usual, these openings will also be provided with a link to my ko-fi when they are open! Please DM me if you wish to use any points to reduce the price and that will be handled via paypal invoice!

Lastly, Monthly Limits.

This last change will be set beginning of the 2022 year. I've decided, to help me better manage between commission and reward work, next year I will be capping the amount of rewards set for each month.

What this means basically is that each month will have a cap limit to the amount of rewards taken for them. As previously noted, you can always set rewards either for the current, or future months.  But with Guardia coming back in motion, I'm still trying to balance between adjusting to working on art full time and working on the comic and other projects at the same time to provide content for everyone.

While this change isn't really THAT BIG, it should not effect the wait times for rewards too much, but rather just helps me get everything done in a timely manner.

At the start of the new year, I will be experimenting with the limit amounts and probably start off capping each month at 10 rewards each.

Since there's about 30 or so of you redeeming rewards, it shouldn't effect receiving them too much, but also helps me keep balance to ensure that everyone get rewards or commissions done on time!

In addition, I will be completely revamping the Patreon Trello to take effect of this change in December. By then everything should be pretty much golden and ready to go for the new year!

And thats all there is too it! I'll be using this month to ensure that I definitely get a clean slate going for October and hopefully the new system will be more efficient in making sure things get done on a timely routine!
