A Triple Threat: Marshals of Ioke Enforcer, Phykonite Tyrant and Asp Squadron

Hey there all! Well, you know how I said a few days ago that I had a fair few more things to show you? I wasn't lying.

August 4 will bring a whole host of releases, including all of these new kits. First, I think we'll start off with the biggest.

The Phykonite Tyrants are a revisiting of the older Khayalos' Tyrant kit which built one monstrous betentacled creature. This, as I discovered firsthand, was a really cool but ultimately awful kit to construct, as its feet were very fragile and trying to make a pose without preset fittings was really not an enjoyable experience. This new kit, the Phykonite Tyrant, following feedback from a number of people who printed multiples of this kit off, is designed to make three models, with pre-set pinned poses - but because all the bodies are at an identical elevation, you can swap any of the arms from the front pair, middle pair and rear pair. Each set of legs (front set, middle set, rear set) all have specific pins on them, so whilst they're easily swappable with a bit of clipping, you can't accidentally put the wrong legs in the wrong sockets.

In addition, the body has been recut, so each side armour panel is on now separate with a slightly wider tolerance, and the spinal armour panels are a separate from the body for ease of airbrushing, and so that any print markings will be completely hidden when it's assembled. Also, with 18 uniquely posed tentacles, you have an insane number of potential poses, so you shouldn't get bored anytime soon with it!

Next up, why not? The first hoverbike I've ever made deserves a section of its own, I suppose!

Further fleshing out the Aventine Dynasties is the all-new Asp Squadron, a set of small one-man hovercraft with weapon options mounted either side of the front hull. Though not visible from the image, craft controls and a visual monitor is in front of the rider so they can see where they're going! Now, this one isn't quite complete yet, as there's a few things I want to play with before its release, but I feel like this is as good a teaser as any!

Ah, well, that's it, right? Wait, there's more? No - it can't be! A new faction already?!

Say hello to the new sherrif/beefcake in town - the Marshals of Ioke are the newest additions to the Promised Land army roster, and they're premiering with their all-new Iokean Enforcers, heavily armed and armoured biologically-enhanced warriors. Bigger, faster and more resilient than any normal man, the Enforcers are the predominant soldiers of the Marshals of Ioke, though such enhancement comes at a cost - with each Enforcer taking years and a great deal of resources to develop, their numbers are distinctly fewer than that of the other powers in the land, though they make up for it with their tally of victories.

Now, currently this is only one model - I just wanted to show it off now - but upon release this will be a set of five models, with bespoke wargear rather than a scaled-up Skjalos rifle, which is what it's currently holding!

Well, that's the last preview of the month, but I'll keep posting up until the release on the 4th with news - and don't forget, it's going to be a big release, with a tonne of new models coming out:

Aventine Dynasties - Asp Squadron
Covenants of Astyri - Phykonite Tyrants
Kingdoms of Mikaelhelde - Aviarch
Marshals of Ioke - Enforcer Squad
Skjalos Guard - Sykaran Ymirae
Taekolta - Wardancers
War Constructs - Asamus Kyara Secutor Construct (Part 1)

I can never have enough jetbikes.

Every time I see the Aventine stuff it gives me big Chris Foss vibes. Those drones especially are begging for a Foss inspired paint job.
