Stuff You Thought Was From China but ISN'T - Episode #99
There's so much that was "invented in China", but wasn't.
From things that are widely believed to be Chinese IN China, to things that westerners think are Chinese, we cover it all.
This is going to be an interesting video.

I was watching a video showing how Chinese were posting comments on their fake news like "I'm a guy, just had my period this morning. I'm 518 years old." It seemed to suggest that since people can't speak in protest directly, they comment random unrelated but obviously extremely false statements. Does anyone know if this is a popular tactic? Like, do other Chinese readily recognize that as protest?
Do you think someone could get arrested for doing it? I'm just imagining a pro-ping article, and someone just posts, "I'm 518 years old". It's brilliant and sad if this is what people are doing.
What about when you can only protest by making clearly unambiguity supportive comments. Wait, why does that sound so familiar. oh yeah, "Let's go CCP!"
