From intestinal length, to aliens. From salt, to evolution... there are lots of insane conspiracies in China, which is weird, because it's a government that prides itself on science and proof, as opposed to superstition and conspiracy.
Here's some of the craziest stuff we heard in China, and why people believe these theories.

2024-02-28 21:53:41 +0000 UTCI caught that too. One of the few shows I still watch just to see what they are feeding the everyday consumer. The overall view still seems to be China is rising militarily. But no specifics. That's not new. But what seems to be more recent is this idea that because they have killed Covid restrictions *plus* they have this GREAT economy (with all those hundreds and hundreds of zillions out of poverty), China is even MORE DANGEROUS. Therefore, we have to meet that threat by giving our government more money. It always come back to that. They are silent about condemning crimes committed by the Chinese government or enforcing any previous agreements. This ambassador also said very few companies have left China. They even showcased an example of a business that is EXPANDING in China. This allowed the dear Ambassador to kind of demur about this...yet, they went through the trouble of showcasing this company for some reason. It's like visually they are shilling for China. But the words try to (poorly) tell a different story.

2024-02-26 21:58:08 +0000 UTC60 minutes had some interesting takes on China on Sunday. Seems the Ambassador to China from the US is shilling. He was so confident that the CCP pulled all those people out of poverty.. seemed to have been towing that party line on most of what he said.
