Whenever I see that clip of the China shill saying “GREAT!” it reminds me of Mad TV’s Will Sasso’s impersonation of Steven Seagal. There are a few hilarious clips from Mad TV skits on YouTube.

Are they fairly new to the menu? I left in early 2020 and don't recall seeing those :(

Q: Sorry, finally a real question. Hot Pot. "Great!", but what is the white tape stuff? Is it a kind of tripe?: https://imgur.com/uR5SLpT https://imgur.com/user/chateauxstudios350/posts Thanks

Q can you play China anthem on the show? What does it say? When is it used? If you walk past an event when it's playing do you have to stand and sing along? Is it possible to distinguish between nationalism and communist party?

Q: We always hear about Xi Jinping in the US media. Who are some of the other "big names" in Chinese politics? Who is lining up to be a future dictator there? I am wondering about the inner circle people.
Thanks. :)

The most famous case I remember, as being a huge catalyst of the mainland Chinese bystander effect, was the 2006 'Nanjing Peng Yu incident'. Peng Yu helped an old lady who had tripped and fallen from a bus as she was exiting, and had broken her collarbone. He took her to the hospital and only after she (and her family) got the bill (130000rmb)...she accused Peng Yu of pushing her. The judge ruled in her favour saying that common sense dictated that the only reason he helped her was because he felt guilty for pushing her. And if he was so close to the incident he would have seen who did it and chased them down. He had to pay around 35000 rmb as compensation. This case was often cited by my Chinese friends when we spoke about the bystander effect there. Great show guys!
