Question: Why do you think Indian media in particularly picked up on the Xi coup rumours? Is it because of their adverse relations with China or were did they just not do their due diligence? I found it weird that some of the NTC accounts started sharing it, because I'd assume that they know how the power structure is in China. I think one of the biggest mistakes people make about the Chinese government is that people can just rise up against it or the military can just overthrow Xi. People think China is like Iraq or Libya, where somebody will just step up and overthrow the government, and that's very far from the truth

Question for both: who were the 3 most memorable people in China you rubbed shoulders with, either famous/ infamous/ weird or most high ranking person?

Hey guys I only just bothered to do a bit more research about falun gong / falun dafa. Sent a few photos to y’all IG, can share or use photos if you wish & no need to read this live if times pressed. So “Falun Gong melds traditional Toaist principles” (is that good?) With “bizarre pronouncements from its leader Li Hongzhi”… apparently he has claimed aliens invaded earth during the start of 20th century causing mass corruption & invention of computers… also he has denounced feminism and homosexuality and can levitate and walk through walls. According to 2020 report from LA times…. -Wikipedia -Question obviously on the surface level stuff seems similar to any other cult with a big headed leader but after actually speaking to a group of these “activists” I think they were using the platform less as a recruitment for their beliefs and more of a platform to upset the ccp. Am I wrong ? I spoke to them for a bit in Chinese they’ve pretty much spent the last 20 years in Australia and I assume they get paid a little for setting their stands up in a busy China-town area, they also noted they hadn’t been harassed but occasionally get mean looks or comments. What are your thoughts on this ?

Hi Brandon, 天津 is still doing the hash run.

Is there much for ambulances in China? Medical helicopters? I figure the unwillingness for people to help each other out and seek help would put a huge damper on demand for those services.

Topic suggestion: Do Chinese people suffer from more diseases and ailments than the developed world due to the poor food safety and poor environmental protections? If so, do the Chinese people know that they have it worse? Do they notice the CCP officials seem to be healthier? Do they know CCP officials have their own separate food sources?

Missing the live but enjoying catching up later. I would like to learn more about the communities at the china/Russia border. Very interesting.

Hey guys when I lived in China we had a group called the hash for our 2nd tier city where a bunch of foreigners and a few Chinese people would go out into the mountains outside the city and follow a designated trail through villages and rice paddies until we came out, had a ritualistic beer circle, got "Hash" nicknames that we had to go by, then had dinner at some rural place, it was one of my favorite china experiences and this is where I saw a lot of what you're talking about, milk dogs, animal cruelty, Id seen baby kittens abandoned, rampant propaganda, terrible public restrooms, the nets alongside the mountains that were green, but I also saw a lot of the good, tiny shop owners lending out their rural shop to use as a beer stop, eager locals wanting a picture or help us back onto course, and a hidden waterfall grotto deep within the mountains very few people have ever seen, I find in recollecting my time there a lot of my experiences were like this, numerous negatives and positives with everything, do you agree? And did your city have something similar to the Hash I'm talking about?
