Dear Supporters

As promised here's a whopping one hour long editor commentary of how the recent Knight Rider video was made and edited. If you wondered how KITT was able to hold a back-and-forth conversation with me, or drive himself, this will totally ruin the magic!

On another note, we're planning a Christmas special of The ЯRetro Show, so if you have any Christmas themed nostalgic photos/videos, or home brew creations, please submit them at http://perifractic.com/submit in return for a ЯR Badge! Thank you 🎄

Thank you so much Steven. And you’ll be pleased to know I am in regular contact with AJ and the team about the upcoming video exploring the computers of Knight Rider!

This was an amazing look into the behind-the-scenes magic that went into the making of this video. 🙂 I've always enjoyed seeing what goes on the behind-the-scenes of any production; even though it may "ruin" the magic a little, I feel like I've learned so much from videos like these that the sacrifice is totally worth it. You completely knocked it out of the park with the Knight Rider locations video, and this peek behind the curtain once again demonstrates why: your unwavering ability to produce content that not only entertains but thoroughly informs is second to none. 🙂 I also wanted to take a moment to say that I am also a HUGE fan of the work of the Knight Rider Historians channel as well; I'm eternally grateful to both AJ and Joe for providing fascinating insights into how the show was made. My favorite commentary so far was on the episode, "Knight of the Drones"; I would love to know more about the company that designed the wire-frame graphics on K.I.T.T.'s monitors as well as the computers that were used in their creation. Thank you so much, Peri, for allowing the audience to have a peek into what went into the production of this video. I would love to see more behind-the-scenes videos such as this one for your more elaborate videos, time and schedule permitting, of course. Take care, Christian, and have a good one. 🙂

As I understand it the foglight arrangement was different for different seasons of the show. I believe this one has fogs behind the grills, as depicted on this screen accurate similar replica. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/amp14530727/knight-rider-fan-creates-the-most-accurate-k-i-t-t-weve-ever-seen/ The interior is also different, for example Season one has two monitors inside as per this vehicle. As you will see in an upcoming interview I did with the car’s owner, this vehicle actually features the entire dash taken from the set of the show, purchased from the model maker on the series who took it home with him when the show was cancelled. So this particular vehicle is about as screen accurate and believable as you could possibly get. That was actually THE KITT I was talking to in the cockpit.

Sort of off topic, and I hate to be "that guy" but I don't understand why they took the time to get hold of and fit the dash, and fit a "scanner" but never did what must have been the comparatively easy job of pulling those front grills and putting in some fog lights in the front bumper. Even straight like for like dash swaps can be a raging ballache, but even a muppet like me can fit some lights... so I just don't get it. It would have made the front end so much more believable.
