Two-three weeks break

I don't know how many of you have noticed, but over the last months both quality and quantity of what we did was declining little by little. Looking back, I can say it was probably because we were getting a bit too exhausted over a long period of time. What would happen a lot is that we would work for a while, get tired because of it, start doing worse because of it, then start arguing and blaming each other for it, waste time on those arguments while being angry at each other and not doing work, then kinda make up and try to work twice as hard to compensate for the time we lost on arguing, which would tire us out even faster, and the whole cycle would start again. We needed to take an actual break to rest and sort out stuff a long time ago now, but we both thought we can wait with that and manage to finish the comic without it, if we just tried hard enough, and also didn't want to disappoint anyone with more down-time, so we kept pressing on. As a result, not only the quality was dropping, but we also were slowing down more and more, and the date when the comic would be done was only getting further and further away.
Anyway, won't bore you too much with all the details. We messed up, mostly due to inexperience in long projects like this, and in working together on them. Will go on a few weeks break now, possibly more if needed, and hopefully after it we'll be able to do better. Feel free to unsubscribe meanwhile, and thanks for sticking by until now.

Hey, no worries! I said it's gonna be 2-3 weeks, and it's been two and a half so far, and we're pretty much getting back to work already. I'll probably post something about it soonish.

I know that art is tough and everyone needs a break, but I also know if you take too long of a break it can become a permanent break. And that's something I can't support with money.

So if you both need to stop for a while, get some z's, catch up on watching some movies and see you in a few months. All the best to you both.
