Something something terrible secret

I promised that when I reach a certain sum in pledges, I would reveal the ‘secret’. Now, frankly speaking, it’s not something overly exciting, and I never even had much reason to hide it in the first place, but then again, neither did I have any reasons to reveal it - until now, that is.

Alcor is actually two people! Been that way for quite a while now. Invividually, we are weak and pointless, but together we form a mighty f-- a full-fledged artist! And probably at least half of a functional person, too. Now, I also need to say that it is the other guy, and not me, who actually draws all the lovely horse porn that you guys come here for. He is the artist, and he is also the one who had the name Alcor originally. Me, I couldn’t draw a stickpone if my life depended on it; instead, I do ‘scripts’, ‘storyboards’, and character lines, as well as help out with ideas, small details, minor edits, and other assorted stuff that mainly exists to distract you and get in the way of staring at the beatiful pony butts drawn by my friend. Oh, and since the artist guy is not very good with English, I also do pretty much all the talking as well, although most of what I say comes from the both of us, of course.

And there you have it, the big secret is out. Now, speaking even more frankly, there was actually a reason I was hesitant to reveal that. You see, when you have two people working together, as a team, on a thing that is normally done well enough by individuals, one would expect them to produce at least twice as good of a result compared to normal, since they would be able to combine their strong points, compensate each other’s weak points, share ideas, yada yada yada... Yeeaaah, not exactly the case here. In reality, each of us can barely do a half of what any decent artist is capable of on their own, and, on top of that, we have countless issues with the actual process of working together, due to being rather different people and often arguing about the best way to do every little thing. For example, we spent the entirety of last week trying to overcome yet another problem in our process that was made very prominent during the making of the last page, and it’s not even the longest we had one of those stop us. Oh, and we also basically need twice the amount of money to get by (since we split everything 50/50), while, again, only producing barely the amount of content a single artist usually does.

But, well… It’s a rather safe bet that if we werent working together, we’d never be able to make that one comic about some asshole getting it on with a magical purple horse, so I guess there’s that. And, well, there’s always that hope, that as we keep on improving both individually, and as a team, someday, we might even be able create something far, far, greater. Like a comic about some asshole getting it on with two magical horses. Someday…

P.S. - If, in our comic, you feel like the story is too drawn out, situations are dumb, dialogues are retarded, and Anon is the worst character ever - the blame lies entirely with me. Alcor did nothing wrong, and he does his absolute best drawing it as well as he can.

P.P.S. - For the sake of simplicity, from now on I will probably keep referring to myself as the one and only Alcor, as I did before, unless otherwise neccessary. I feel it would be less confusing, and, well, it’s kinda a habit by now.
