Dear Patreons
Good news here in the RR kitchen! In my Patreon welcome video I say that I want this to be a partnership, and so I thought it right to share a little behind-the-scenes info with my partners in crime. 😏
To get "monetized" on YouTube one needs 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of views in the past year. If things trend as they are, I will become eligible for monetization overnight tonight.

There is still a manual review process to follow, but if I apply it's another step in the right direction for the Retro Recipes endeavour. 👟👍
I thought I should also give you an insight into how this benefits our channel. The general consensus is that YouTube pays creators $2 for every 1,000 views. This varies wildly based on location, niche, and what each advertiser is bidding to have each ad displayed. At 14,000 views per month, you can see that my channel may earn a whopping extra $28 a month! 😐 But as I say, it's a stepping stone and to ensure the channel can keep going, I need to at least try out a few revenue streams. Onwards & upwards!
For those on my early-bird "Perifracteam" tier, the videos will be set not to display ads during your early access period (typically 2-3 days; longer than most other channels 😉), only once the videos go public might ads appear occasionally. Assuming you have a YouTube Premium (aka YouTube Red) subscription, or an ad blocker, you'll never see these ads anyway.
If you have any queries just let me know. My valued Patreons come first. That means you! As always thank you so much for your support. 🙏
Your friend in retro,
Chris aka Թҽɾíƒɾɑϲtíϲ
P.S. Epic new video in the works! 🍏🥧
