I finished the rough edit of Part one! This was a difficult section because a lot of these stories don't have visual aids. I think it turned out really well. But now, I need to go back and clean it up. I've started adjusting the pace of narration and inserting music.
I'm still waiting on some additional music and animations for this section. But in the meantime, I'm going to continue revising and hopefully start on part two by mid-week.

I had to attend a funeral today: My friend's father passed away. So most of my day was spent there. However, I did find enough time to make a TikTok this afternoon on Mister Mosquito. That frees up my Friday to edit Super Mario World.

Part one is done!! I'm still waiting on a short animation, but all of the pacing, narration, and visuals are ready to go.
Traditionally, I save music for the last part of the edit. But I've decided to edit each part individually this time. That way, in the end, I can just piece them all together and call it done.

Today, I narrated and edited part two's narration. This section is slightly bigger than part one, but I think that the edit will go slightly more quickly because it's mostly about Super Mario World gameplay. That means finding visuals will be much easier.
As I edit narration, I listen closely for errors or weird noises: Popping, hissing, weird mouth things, etc. Then, I highlight those passages and go back to re-record. I only had to re-record once this session, so I consider that a win.
Tomorrow, I dive into Part two!

Whew, I had a little scare today. I had a folder filled with my Super Mario World (Super Famicom) game footage...but it was empty! Luckily, I had a backup on my laptop and was able to grab everything safely.
Anyways, today was a nice, relaxing editing session. I mostly had to just scrub through game footage to show what I was talking about. It's not super exciting, but after the craziness of finding visuals for part one, I'm totally fine with it.
Have a great weekend, everyone! It's looking like an April release date for this video.
