New Episode Available Now!
In case you missed it, a new episode is now available on YouTube! In 1993, Tengen wanted their own Mario or Sonic. They created Awesome Possum. On the surface, it's nothing special. But behind the game is a story about climate change, possums, and a ridiculous lawsuit.
Mario Paint Wins! But....
Mario Paint won the latest episode topic vote! However, I have run into an issue: Historical information on this game is almost non-existent. If a video were to be made, it would have to be more about the culture behind the game (music covers, animations, etc.).
I'm going to continue to dig up what I can on Mario Paint, but the chances of this being the next video are slim. It's just a much more difficult topic than I thought. If that's the case, I'll put up another vote. In the future, I'll do some preliminary research before putting up topics for vote. I apologize!
Twitch Fundraising
Over on our Twitch page (http://www.twitch.tv/gaminghistorian) we have been streaming every Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday from 6pm to 10pm CST. Recently we have been doing some fundraising!
- We raised $250 for the Lakeside Nature Center, featured in the latest episode on Awesome Possum! This money will go toward animal rehab efforts.
- We raised $600 for the COVID-19 Response Fund! This money will go toward preventing, detecting, and responding to the current pandemic.

Professor Tier
Just a PSA for those on the professor tier. We had a few questions regarding end credit names. For the end credits, I pull a list of people from the $12 tier and use their display name. So whatever you have as your display name on Patreon, that is what will show in the end credits. Hope this clears some stuff up!
