tl;dr - I've been finishing up some patron commissioned work for PAL in preparation for releasing PAL v1.13 soon; I've also done some PAT image design.
This week's image
I've already shown this one on Discord, but I thought I might as well share it here too. This isn't what you'd normally call "explicit", but I think it's NSFW enough to against Patreon's public posting rules, so it has to be a private post if I'm going to put it up here.
I've announced before that Emi in Pervert Action: Timelapse is a famous model; here's one of her billboards promoting the new "Purple Fox" motorbike. For this image I wanted to play off the many shots you see in bike promotions that feature a sexy girl draped over them, but I also wanted to put her in a one-piece leather jumpsuit and make it look like the kind of bike that might be most popular for rich enthusiasts in a wealthy Asian city. I was trying to create the effect that someone passing the ad might think, "did she just have sex with that bike?"
Finishing up some patron commissions for PAL
For this month's PAL release, as I've stated previously, I decided that I wasn't likely to be able to finish all the patron requests in just one month. Instead I've sliced the job in half and I've got about half the material coming up for this month's release. I also figured that since that stuff was largely ready there was no reason not to release v1.13.0 earlier than usual, as I'm trying to push the release windows to an earlier part of the month anyway. (That should be better for patrons, with the billing cycle working the way it does.)
While I hope to get all the remaining patron commissioned content done for next month, I really can't guarantee that I will. The ones I'm releasing this month were all things that I'd made a fair bit of progress on already, so I don't know if I'll be able to finish the rest in the available weeks. I mean, I'm sure I could if I just focused on those, but I need to divide up my time and dedicate a lot of it to working on PAT at the moment. Plus, commissions can be hard to do since they're not the kind of writing I normally do, just motivated by me exploring my own ideas and following whims. I have to really knuckle down and write for somebody else's vision, which I find a lot harder. Most working writers have to do that all the time - I don't know how they manage!
PAL release 1.13.0 coming soon!
The release of PAL 1.13.0 should be coming up pretty soon; it depends a little on how the upload's going. I'll probably put out a public post the day after the release talking about what's in it (seems to be a good way to promote the releases), but basically it's got some stuff for patron commissions as well as a couple of small bonuses that I rendered up.
As I said above, it's early this month; hope you're happy about that! I'm pretty sure I'll be finishing up PAL 1.13 soon, then I need to test it, but I don't think that will take very long this time. I'll try to get the blorb up first and the exe later. I can squeeze in a few hours here and there for uploading but the full 2gb upload across the two versions is hard to accommodate. If you normally use the exe, try using the blorb instead - it'll only take a moment to set up Adrift and then you won't need to do it again.
PAT work
I can't actually say I've done major amounts of writing for PAT this week; instead my progress there has largely been limited to designing images and making some notes. I've already shown a lot of the image progress, of course, because I've been filling out those "dating" activity pictures that the game needs. Actually, I'm looking forward to having this next PAL release over so I've got a little window to get back into the PAT work for a little while, before I have to do more PAL work again for the September release.
Like the picture? Have an opinion on the commissions or the PAL release? Let me know in the comments!
