Quick update on the Exe vs Blorb situation
Added 2018-08-12 10:44:23 +0000 UTCThe results of the poll and the commentsabout it seem to suggest two things:
1) People aren't that enthusiastic about using the .blorb instead of the .exe, and,
2) Mostly those people don't know how to use the .blorb version.
I'll make a compromise situation instead. I'm going to upload the .blorb version first and then, when I get time for the extra uploading, I'll add the .exe version as well. I'll also be listing the blorb version first on the downloads, to encourage people to use it.
Just a couple points to be clear: the blorb version is easy to use and is just as compatible with Windows as the .exe version is, it just takes a few extra moments of setup.
First, you install the Adrift runner (which I include with the download, so you don't need to find it). Second, open the Adrift runner. Third, in the Adrift runner, select "open file" and select the PAL blorb file. It's pretty similar to opening a Word document, and it'll play exactly the same as it did in the .exe version. You can even keep your save games.
Uploading both is hard for me, so there could be a bit of a delay waiting for it, but I'll make it available for patrons. If you normally use the .exe version, maybe try using the .blorb instead rather than waiting! :)

Honestly, I'm always cool with giving friends a free plug, but I don't do actual cross promotion any more because I feel a little insincere doing it. Nothing personal, of course. :)
