tl;dr - Ho, ho, ho! Pervy Christmas! Graphics progress has been good, I'm getting a replacement PC and I'm programming again.
Season's Greetings:
Happy holidays to everyone! In this festive season I'm extremely grateful for all of you guys. This year has been the best, happiest work year of my life. Obviously I still work a day job, but it's a pretty pleasant and relaxed one, and thanks to this Patreon campaign I've been able to treat making games as a part time job. That means it's comfortably the best job I've ever had. :) I hope you're all doing well, and regardless know that I'm extremely grateful and working hard to try and live up to your support and expectations.
Today's image:
I'd say this one speaks for itself so I won't give any significant explanation, except to say I like how this one turned out. It's part of my latest run of graphics work, and naturally it's rendered in Iray (since I wouldn't get results like that without Iray).
Computer update:
As I've reported elsewhere I have now returned the defective PC that has been giving me so many crash problems over recent months. Nobody ever got to the bottom of what was wrong with the machine, but at least I've managed to get passed the issue, I think. The store has agreed to build me a whole new machine with different parts all around (almost all different models, and entirely physically different to the old machine). Naturally it will still be capable of Iray renders.
Nothing is going to be cheaper or crummier than before, and some of it is going to be a little higher quality. Therefore there shouldn't (in theory) be any reason to think I'll have any problems with the new one. Hip hip hooray?
The computer problems have been very disruptive to my work flow, and while I've managed to keep things going by focusing on graphics when I have the new computer at home and programming when I'm relying on my old one, I would really much rather be able to relax and work on whatever I want at any time.
Graphics work:
Over the last week I've had access to the old machine for the last time and that's meant I've done a bunch of picture designing. That's been fun, and I've got some great results. A number of them will be in the next alpha, while others are for sex scenes and therefore won't be in the game until those sex scenes are implemented.
Programming work:
And on that last point, I'm working on implementing more sex scenes at the moment. I expect that to be the main thing I work on this next week as I don't expect my new computer to show up until at least the 27th. As I write this update I'm just taking a break from programming the Rio sex scene, which I will get back to in a moment. I also did some bug fixing this week, and I think the lake day will be working perfectly in the next version. In the current alpha you should be aware that the game will become unwinnable if you have Kim's love greater than or equal to 75, but I have fixed that bug for the next version.
