Update 39

tl;dr - I've been rendering this week and filling in gaps in the sex scene writing. Also, my computer's still not working right but I hope to get a replacement soon.

Naked Rio!

I've actually had a bit of trouble getting Rio to look good in Iray renders. Her skin just shows up too flat and dark to be made out clearly, and if I make her paler she doesn't look right. I've been trying to recreate that 'golden brown' shine she had in the 3Delight images.

Actually I could use some feedback over whether this image has enough lightness/contrast to be clear enough. I think it does, but I'm basing that on what I can see on my monitor, which has particularly high colour quality (I bought it to aid with graphics development).

Rendering:

I've been able to spend some time rendering this week, since I had my computer back from the shop for a little while. I'll talk more about that below. Anyway, I decided to take advantage of that access while I could and I've been working on a number of different scenes/characters. It's fun to be able to do that when I can right now.

Writing:

I have been working with Another Wannabe to continue to (slowly) fill in the remaining unwritten gaps in the sex scenes. Game development generally and writing in particular tends to obey the rule that the first 90% of your work takes 10% of the time, and the last 10% takes 90% of your time. That said, I am fortunately able to shift my attention over to other aspects of the project when I'm not all that inspired to write certain bits. There's plenty for me to be working on without having to try and force it.

Specifically what's been done is that AW has been filling in gaps in the Fumi sex scene while I've been working on the Ai sex scene. Both are almost done.

Computer:

So as I mentioned I got my computer back this week, with an upgraded power supply unit as an attempted fix for the crashes I've been getting. Big surprise: it didn't work. I understand I should be able to get it fully replaced by the seller now, however, so that's a good thing. I will hopefully be past all this drama soon and able to focus on developing images without an unreliable machine undermining me.
