It's part of the Gyaru look. It just fits the character. Also, I don't get the "you guys seem to love the tans". Do we tho? I personally do, but Ayame mainly doesn't start with a tan and even later its optional to the exception of one route and 6 scenes...? Out of 170+. Adriana does (she's latin based, I mean), Fujiko doesn't, this character does since she's somewhat trying to resemble a jk/gyaru but her tan is original. That's it for the first game. 2 for 2 with the option to make it 3 for 1 but again, optional. In our second game, one is originally darker skin, one is pale white. Third game, both characters good and evil (evil not revealed yet) have white skins, fourth game, white skin. So as you can see, we tend to give a character tan or not (being Ayame the only optional one ever) depending on their personality or origin. So as you can see I think this is more you disliking tan other than us liking it too much. I personally like it, but it's not by far the way we draw most of our characters. We use the tanned version in most previews because it's the one people like the most and it offers a bigger contrast to showcase assets, darker background. I can promise you since I'm the one "writing" the characters and how they look, that I do not favor tanned over "regular" skins. I don't favor regular either, I just go with what fits the character in my mind. Hope that helps ^_^

Like rather than having both the clothes and hair ties being 1 colour. Like the hair ties being one colour then the clothes being another colour that compliments it.
