Good news and bad news

Good news, the patch is almost done and will be released tomorrow (we're gonna finish it in the next couple of hours but we want to play safe and run a few bug tests, even tho there's not a lot of room for bugs to be honest).

Patch increases the Jack route, the Fujiko/711 route and introduces cameos and one of the two things I said I wanted to add as a surprise to the patch which also adds consumables (yay, places to spend zel!).

Now for the vegies...

One of the two things that we wanted to add as a surprise, which we won't be able to, is the voice acting.

After lots of consideration and effort on trying to get voice acting done for this game, we have decided to abandon it and maybe introduce it later on via DLC's (free) or future games. The reason is simple, the voice acting is delaying our patches extremely and we just can't afford it, we want to release a lot more patches and a lot less waiting for third parties to send us stuff.

On the past few days we've been in conversations with Trina, and we simply weren't getting enough material fast enough or at the quality we desired, we had to make a lot of pitch changes on Cool Edit Pro and overall, it was being a colossal work and time effort for something that a lot of you considered secondary.

So we contacted another voice actress, that pretty much overall sent us nothing but promises "yeah I'll get it done, yeah soon, yeah this weekend" and didn't, so, screw it.

Ultimately, we rather have the game just stay as it is mechanically, and release a lot more patches and a lot more scenes, we decided that the only person we should wait for to do stuff, is Muku to draw, that's it.

For those that were looking forward for the voice acting, we are extremely sorry, but it's simply not doable at the moment, we need more work and more dedication, and we can't afford to do it right now.

We will try to find out alternatives in the future, but never again at the cost of slowing down the progress of the game.
