Not only have they failed their backers, they have no doubt placed the thought of "well, why should I fund other projects? They could fail too..." in numerous minds; making them less inclined to help fund anyone. It sours the community mood for those whom have actually earned that trust. There are no winners. Props+ to HS for predicting this trainwreck.
