Today’s Thrift Shop CD Haul
Added 2025-11-07 02:59:45 +0000 UTCPicked up a nice bunch of CDs from Value Village today. Very excited to listen to the stuff I know, but especially the stuff I don’t know.
My favourite pickup is for sure the Corinne Bailey Rae, super stoked! Never have seen her mentioned by anyone where we live at in the suburbs, first introduction to her was through People’s Choice, thanks to whoever made that suggestion 👌🏼
Another one that I’m happy about is the Ryuichi Sakamoto CD. Haven’t heard the album, but by his standard it’s bound to be good. If you haven’t checked him out before, he’s a modern classical pianist from Japan, who recently passed away after a very successful and impactful career. Do me one favour if you haven’t listened to him before, check out the track Bibo No Aozora on his album ‘1996’ - Jay Elec does a dope track overtop of this composition (Elec’s is called Better In Tune With The Infinite)

I said I was going to start recollecting cds (I rid of my cds from grade school) This inspired me to get on it :) The Corrine Bailey track (Green Aphrodisiac) I suggested that you & Dad reacted to was featured on one of her later projects. Glad you went back and checked out her debut album. It’s a classic!!
