UNCUT: The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die

Comments

"I live for the funk, I die for the funk" is sampled from Mr Funk from Lords Of The Underground "Chief Rocka" (1993).

Puff Daddy said on record that this album was inspired by Dr Dre"s The Chronic album (1992) ,as far as how its formatted with skits that made the album more cohesive and also visual, making the project play out more like a movie. Dr Dre and Snoop are both sampled on this album. Snoops song from his 1993 debut album , "The Shiznit" in the intro and then Dr Dre"s voice sampled from a line off his song "Little Ghetto Boy" from The Chronic on "Things Done Changed" "Thangs done changed on this side , remember they used to talk, and now they blast right?", which became Biggie"s hook and title. Edit: Just saw you had this info, I appreciate Dad for recognizing and Son for knowing and presenting the reference.
