Usher was probably the biggest r&b artist when hip/hop and r&b started to mesh. His can sing and perform. A couple tracks you should check out is Burn and Lovers & Friends with Ludacris & Lil Jon.

2025-08-06 02:46:10 +0000 UTCLast comment campaigning for the Confessions album reaction and why imo its a must listen for any music lover and why Usher is so celebrated. -It’s a nod to traditional R&B music of artist like Marvin Gaye, Teddy P while laying out a blueprint for future R&B artist such as Neyo and Chris Brown -It was an early adoptee of bringing Hip Hop producers into R&B/Pop lane (Just Blaze, Lil John, Jermaine Dupri-although Jermaine had roots in both hip hip/rb) -Major crossover success which was rare for R&B albums. -Assembly of biggest songwriters & producers in the game. Listening to interviews from songwriters and producers who contributed to the project, there seemed to be this healthy competition which drove everyone to deliver their best work. -Plus I don’t remember you’ll reacting to a R&B album.
