2026-02-20 07:26:29 +0000 UTCI wish artists paid a little more attention to real armor. Real armor after about 1200 AD did not have great flat topped helms. Those types of helms were only really used for early jousting and went on over a small helm inside. After about 1200 AD they went for rounded helms. Why? So that blows would skip off the armor rather than have the force transferred through the armor. Also curved armor tends to spread the impact better (spreading the impact around the helm rather than allowing the force to be transmitted though the helm to the person inside. How do I know all this. Was an active medieval renactor fighting in real armor with full contact for over 20 years. Proper armor works and stops you getting hurt (prevents conscussions as well due to physics of helms outlined above)

I am currently like that The Office meme with Michael running around going “oh my god, okay, it’s happening!” I really can’t wait to read this. Now I am debating if they are moving slow because people recognize them and are slowing them down or if it is because Rei is sore as heck from the Abel training session.
