A life update, a STORMWEAVER update, and a proper apology/appreciation gift!
Added 2024-11-02 13:38:29 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I know I haven't been around much and it's been WAY longer than expected for new content, but I have updates and come bearing a proper apology/appreciation gift for those who have stuck around as paid members of the Patreon!
LIFE UPDATE:
First off, my parent's surgery is now about a month out, and aside from some expected continued discomfort, they are doing much better. We are still waiting for some biopsy results to let us know if anything spread, but the chances are low from what I'm told, so we're holding out hope this may have been a one-and-done thing.
STORMWEAVER UPDATE:
In regards to STORMWEAVER, I am wrapping my reread this coming week, and am taking some time off work Thurs and Fri to get some serious writing done! You WILL have new material on the 8th, even if it's a brief chapter, and I should be back on my regular writing schedule after that!
APOLOGY/APPRECIATION GIFT:
While we did lose more members this month to cancellations than most months, it wasn't nearly as many as I expected despite the lack of content, for which I'm extremely grateful. For that reason, I'm doing something I haven't done for years:
If you are a PAID member of the Patreon at any tier on the last day of this month (November 2024) you will be getting a deluxe Patreon-exclusive, two-sided, hand-signed postcard featuring brand new art from our own wonderful Vinchie!
Due to the mass number of issues we had with our 2022 postcard, you WILL have to comment on a post I'll be sending out on Monday the 25th (giving you a week and several reminders to comment), confirming you have updated your address on Patreon. We had something like a 25% error rate in 2022 because addresses weren't input properly, and we aren't doing that again haha.
The art for Aria, who will be one side of the postcard, is already done (there will be more going on behind her), with Rei's currently in progress! While we might reuse this art later for something else, this postcard will NEVER be made again, and is exclusive to PAID patrons.
Thank you all so much for your support and patience! I hope this postcard will make up a little for the massive delay in STORMWEAVER content, and I look forward as much as any of you guys to getting back on the ball!

Sooooo appreciate this content in any way it comes!!!! I had asked a question that was never answered before so I will ask here again I have turned several people on to this series but they preferred to read it instead of listening like I do. Between covid twice, the new projects and the sick parent Im positive you could use some stress free time to relax and clear your head! Personally, I am a member here because I really enjoy your work and its a small price to pay to support such a talented author. Its an amazing thing to be able to experience, first hand, the struggles an author goes through during the writing process! We are getting a lesson in learning why it can take years to write, and re-write a book. When you dont get to see the “behind the scenes “ version of this a person can easily think “Jeeze its only a few hundred pages! Why does it take SO long?” The fact that I get to read the rough cuts of a book series that I can, and have, re-read more times than I can count just makes it even better! Besides all of that just the fact that you are so involved with your fans shows you truly care about us and the quality of the work you produce. Now go rest then get to work on this before the anxiety and anticipation drives us all insane! Hahaha (yes I am JOKING everyone!) We appreciate you, your loyal fans arent going anywhere!

I had to log in to the site on my computer and go to settings from the left hand side menu and then under the account tab you can enter an address and associate it with a creator. Hope that helps.

I don't think you "owe" us anything because life happened and your priorities (rightly so) were on your family and not on putting out chapters in your book. You are a truly talented storyteller and I cannot wait to read where the story goes but not at the expense of precious time with loved ones. Money is absolutely replaceable. You always have a chance to write another book you don’t get a chance with a new parent. Just make sure not to rush
