Time to do a reread! Also a heads up about a sick parent and my schedule.
Added 2024-10-06 13:09:01 +0000 UTCHey all! Sooo... If you read Chapter 25, you'll know I totally forgot a couple elements from earlier in the book. Not unexpected for 1) pantsing, 2) a project this big, and 3) my schedule.
That does mean, however, that it's time for me to do a reread of Book 3 so far, and the timing works out a little.
A parent of mine is sick, and is having surgery this week to get something removed. It's def treatable, and prognosis is good, but the surgery is pretty rough so I'm going down to SC for a week to help take care of them and keep them company.
I think I'm going to take advantage of the trip and possible "downtime" to reread what I have of Book 3 so far, catch myself up on missed details, and get ready to forge forward.
So... this is me letting you know ahead of time that, between my parent's surgery and needing to reread, the next chapter is not going to be sooner than 2 weeks, sorry yall 😞 But it'll all be better for it!
Cheers, and talk soon!

My sympathies, man. Having to rewrite such a section will be a pain! 😵💫.

2024-10-16 01:54:38 +0000 UTCI agree! I love watching the writing process. It only makes me admire authors more to see all of the rewrites and such it takes to make sure the story is kept straight. With all the amazing character backstories he has it has to be so hard! It makes my brain hurt just imagining how hard it must be to keep all these small details correct while building on the story.

2024-10-10 01:01:52 +0000 UTCGet your storyboard on.... Good to see you can help out the fam. I for one while loath to wait, appreciate the work that goes into these books and wont fault you for wanting you do your own due diligence. Also can i just say having followed other authors for years. To see the literal creation of one of my favorite volumes in real time is just cool. Glad we can be a part of the process.

2024-10-07 14:33:00 +0000 UTCBest wishes to you and your family, man. Also, maybe try NotebookLM? Lets you upload your own sources/notes and chat/query against them. Finding it really useful for my work, and it’s free right now, one of its biggest advantages lol I caught up this morning, it’s crazy how quickly I can get sucked back in after waiting for some chapters to buildup! Triumvirate is SO sick. I’ve wanted to see a staff User so bad and it’s sooo sick. Really glad Lasher can be part of the story for a bit longer, and Dice seems like a champ too. Thanks for writing and sharing!!

2024-10-06 17:45:53 +0000 UTCThanks for the heads-up, Bryce! There will be people who "forget" and cry about the lack of a chapter, but sometimes there are more important things to take care of. Family being one of them. Looking forward to an update in a couple of weeks that the surgery went well, and with the appropriate amount of "doggo tax" pics. Thoughts and prayers to you and the whole family that things go well!

2024-10-06 14:24:52 +0000 UTCAlways appreciate the communication. Much better than certain authors of large books who take 13 years. The rough chapters are just a bonus. Hope everything goes well with your parent and on the rewrite for 25!

2024-10-06 13:13:38 +0000 UTC"That does mean, however, that it's time for me to do a reread of Book 3 so far" Nope, do a full reread, starting from book 1. Just in case you forgot something else 😉
