I am pretty sure that the push in the Defense test was the good guys trying to push him. The chances of a mental break down or a fear of SCT or combat was too great for those who want him to succeed to risk him getting wailed on by a ton of S rank attackers, it was definetly organised by people who feared what he can become, are scared he will ruin their power/wealth somehow, and they most likely aren't aware how dire the situation is on the front lines, for example I seriously doubt anyone at the academy except Dent knows that the MIND expects humans to lose in 5-7 years if nothing changes.

2023-02-18 20:47:50 +0000 UTCI'm re-reading from Ch 1 and noticed again that Dent kept saying "You need to get stronger" because of apparent press of time among other things.Then we had all that attack in etc. Is it possible that this is orchestrated somehow by the "good guys"? I do hope not, but it is possible.
