While everyone knows Wayne and cash money, I'd like to highlight two of my local favorites from Baton Rouge: Lil Boosie aka Boosie Badazz, and Kevin Gates. I don't know what's gotten into Boosie lately, but I still love a lot of his music, especially the more introspective tracks like "Memories" and "My Struggle". The same goes for Kevin Gates with "What to call it", and "430am". But he's also got several raw trap bangers like "Arm & Hammer" or "Out the Mud". Check them out sometime please.

This track feels so big and bouncy and I think set the stage for a lot of his singles that came later. It felt like each album after this had at least one single that had a big feel like this. “What You Know”, “Big Things Poppin” and “Swagger Like Us” all come to mind
