Drake - Best I Ever Had | Dad's first solo Drake track

This was Drake's first breakout hit produced by Boi-1da.

Boi-1da produced this song in his parent's basement, while working multiple minimum wage jobs, a couple days before he made the Best I Ever Had beat he had quit Winners. He knew he had something special and from the very beginning he had full faith in Drake's ability, so much so that he believed he would be the greatest rapper.

Only one year later, Boi-1da produced for Eminem, notably on Not Afraid, a multi platinum hit. Since then he has continued to work with Drake on some of his most memorable tracks and has built an impressive catalogue: 0 / 100, Pound Cake, and Energy as examples!

This or Take Care was the first Drake song I had ever heard when I was younger, so it has a special place in my heart. Hope you enjoy the reaction everyone and what do you think about the song?

Victor me too! It wasn't until I heard this song at parties in the twelfth grade where it was uncensored, it sounded so strange

The FrontRoom

It’s funny I only ever listened to this song in like VH1 music videos where it’s censored, so I’m used to “You tha, you tha best” and the uncensored chorus caught me off guard lol

Victor Atchley

You should do Logic-Metropolis

Robert Boyd

Exactly Tommy. Idk how he’s maneuvered his way through all of the trends of the past 15 years

Say what you want about Drake, but the man knows how to make a hit. He's got the recipe
