Comments

But this doesn't take away from the fact that the original version of The Score album is a classic rap album.

Well, just like Wu Tang, The fugees were very artistic and flamboyant in their performances and music videos so thats how they all link up. I'm not sure if you can find the documentary album online in its entirety, I've only been able to find a cut version of the documentary without the songs. Its original release was vhs, so to even have that online is amazing. However, someone has uploaded the song versions and same videos in the order they were on the documentary I'll post the link for those videos below. And I strongly believe for you and your taste Dad, you would definitely prefer those versions and songs to the original The Score album.

Iโ€™m super curious to see the video you mention, in and of itself and also to see how their version of Kill Me Softly ties in with the album. - Kโ€™s dad.

I love you guys talking in the beginning and allowing us into who you guys are.. "Allergies.. Maybe. Hair on clothes.. NO WAY!" I love it! After Lauryn its all about that bass. But the way Dad felt about Wycleff coming is understandable because he listen to her solo first.. I believe.

You have to show your dad. The video for killing me softly, its a fun video and you see how much they love and care about Lauryn she's their diamond, hence them deciding to give her a complete slow singing song on a complete rap album. Also I think if your dad knew about wycleff and fugees as a rap group before he heard this song it wouldn't have jarred him so much..๐Ÿ˜„ without any reference of the fugees as a rap group I can fully understand your dads reaction to those harsh rap additions in such a smooth rnb song.

Aww, that one made me smile and laugh from start to finish. BUT HERE COMES THE TRASH HAHA, no, its just an explanation, the song is from a complete rap album and the fugees were extremely artistic in their music and that included storylines and videos for the songs that sewed them all together like an epic movie. They made a video to go along side the score album called the score bootleg versions. And its first and foremost a documentary about the rise of fugees but its an assembly of songs from the album plus new ones that were better than the songs originally on the score album and if you watch all the videos for these songs they go together...and those ad libs from wycleff and praz are the link.

Never have heard the original, only Lauryns. Thanks Jennifer!

You guys should do Laurynโ€™s cover of the Frankie Valli song โ€œCanโ€™t take my eyes off youโ€
