And the winner is... (full results of Patron's Choice 9, PLUS updates on SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED 64 & 65

Hello all! The third ever (and consecutive) tiebreaker round is over and it's time to annuonce the winner of this the Patron's Choice poll! And the winner is...

Minecraft - All Achievements!!!! The vote total was 57 for Minecraft, 45 for Cyberpunk. If you'd like to see the full breakdown of the results with all games, please check the very bottom of this post! Minecraft is actually a sizable blind spot for me. I played it a little bit in high school on the 360, and a little bit during the pandemic, but those hours probably total less than 30 overall. Making a video about it is going to be a challenge, but it's one I'm eager to take on! This video is a bit of a ways off, likely coming out sometime in July or August (hoping for July). In the meantime, I've got two other videos that I'll be releasing before then.

SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED 64 // Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 (Base Game FF%)

This one is so incredibly close to releasing, you all will likely be seeing it within the next week or so! I just sent it off to the runner I'm working with, and now the revision process begins. I'm guessing that we'll iron out the bulk of the revisions by the end of next week, and the video will be releasing by then. This one absolutely flew by with both writing and recording/editing. I seriously cannot believe how quickly it came and went. I'm super happy with the first draft and I'm so excited for you all to see it (especially the intro, it might be my favorite thing I've ever made). Making a video about this type of speedrun has certainly been a different type of challenge than my normal speedruns, but I think that the SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED format actually ended up working really nicely for this type of speedrun.

SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED 65 // Resident Evil 2 Remake (New Game, Leon)

I'm excited to officially announce that the next video after RCT2 is a New Game (Leon) run of Resident Evil 2 Remake! RE2R is a game that I absolutely love. I genuinely think it's in contention for greatest game ever made. It's a game (and series) that I've always wanted to cover, but never got around to it. I always felt that if I were to cover the series, I should cover it from start to finish, but I really don't have any interest in covering Resident Evil (since I've never played it). I recently decided that enough is enough and I should stop sitting on making a video about this game solely because I haven't gotten around to playing a different game. I've already gotten into contact with the runner for this, they've already recorded the run, and we've already done our call going over the run. I'm ready to jump straight into writing the script for this video as soon as I wrap up with RCT2. I think that this will also make for a bit of a different video, possibly with a fair bit of fast-forwarding. There's a lot of running in this game, though also a lot of really cool tech. It's also an interesting game because of how easy it is to speedrun. And who knows, maybe that'll be the point of the video (foreshadowing). This video I'm hoping will be out by the end of May.

Thank you all for reading this update, and thank you for suggesting and voting for the poll, and OF COURSE thank you for supporting here on Patreon! Truly, cannot thank you enough. Hope you're all doing well and have a good April!

I'm so happy about the RCT thing I can't even explain. I didn't really thing it would catch on as a suggestion, and I wasn't sure the runs were even conducive to an Explained type of video. Awesome to hear it went well. The runner is a funny guy, and their knowledge of the game is... DEEP. I'm really REALLY excited for the final product. Like... An antsy, child-like excitement.
