Speedrun Explained 44: Update 2; Speedrun Explained 45: Update 1

Hey all! Been a month since the last video update, which I apologize for! I never intend to have such long gaps between updates, but sometimes there's not much to update on for a bit.

Keeping it brief, July has been (and August will be) very busy months with a lot of travel, but progress continues to be made on the BioShock 2 video! It's for sure on the longer side (not crazy long but will likely be another 50+ minute video). Currently I'm on pace to wrap up writing the script for it tomorrow, and I'll be sending it off to the video's collaborator as soon as it's done. Everything seems to be keeping on pace for a mid to late August release on Patreon (early September for public due to sponsorship contracts and stuff).

Second is that it's time to announce what the mystery SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED that I teased in the last text post! This video will be coming out likely in late September, and is slated to be the video before the Portal 2 (Single Player, No SLA) video. And that mystery video is...

Portal! Yeah, not super original on my part, but covering Portal was an inevitability, and I've always wanted to cover it before covering Portal 2, so when Portal 2 won the poll, I considered it a "double win" or something similar where the top two voted things won just so we can cover them in proper order, as I've taken to doing with series on the channel. This double win thing is a one time deal though, so no going around in future polls expecting that there will be multiple games chosen from future polls based on what wins. That's only for "special circumstances" like this one.

I'll hopefully be posting another update sometime during the week of August 8th to give you all a more concrete date range for when to expect the BioShock 2 video, so until then, hope you're staying healthy and doing well :)
